I will be buying more Wii U games once the NX comes out and the prices (hopefully) drop. I'd love to pick up some of the more limited releases, such as Bayonetta 1 + 2 or the version of Star Fox Zero with Guard as a bonus disc. I know these are available digitally, but collecting downloads isn't the same.
Any recommendations on other games to look for?

There's the special edition of New Super Mario Bros. U with New Super Luigi U on the same disc. You can occasionally find that for cheap already though.

Isn't this like the 5th time the Wii U has stopped production? o_O

I was gonna say, we've had multiple rumors regarding the Wii U ending production.

You'd think they would at least wait until the Switch is out. Then again, with how piss poor the WiiU has sold maybe there's enough out in the wild now that they will last until the Switch launch.

Nintendo usually keeps their older platforms in production for another couple of years as a budget option. I do predict a price cut soon though.

Funny how we never hear "Demand for Wii U Forces Nintendo to Resume Production" any of the several times that's happened, isn't it?

I have no idea why it's a big deal to people.
The Wii U wasn't popular, they have some decent momentum with the Switch, and it's out in a few months. Why wouldn't they do this? :/

Well there goes Yooka-laylee for the WiiU. -_- I was looking forward to playing it but never mind. I understand why of course, but damn I feel sorry for the backers who don't have another console to go too.

The only people shocked by this are the people who were delusional and thought the WiiU was a good console.

I can't say whether it's good or bad, never personally went near it. BUT all you'd have to do is look at the sales figures to know this was a near certainty.
