In case you may not get a trailer today, allow me to cheer you up with some info.

So, today I got to see a near final (and full sized) version of Transformers: Bumblebee movie Bumblebee as well as some other cool stuff. Due to spoiler nature of the content, I’m keeping it hidden below.

Before I get to start describing things, let me tell you that I broke down and cried when I saw the final design. These are tears of happiness, I’m talking about. He looks so good. I really hope that you guys will be able to see him soon. He deserves to be seen. I will describe him to the best of my knowledge and will update any info if I remember them.

Spoiler: Transformers: Bumblebee Movie Spoilers

Bumblebee Robot Mode

So, last time when I described him, I only saw a bust. This time, I got too see his entire body.

If it weren’t for the Bayverse head design, you’ll hardly recognize him as Movieverse Bumblebee.

Don’t get me wrong, he does look like he’s 1977 Camaro Bumblebee with Camaro parts replaced with Volkswagen parts. BUT he’s heavily modified now.

The best I can describe him is that he appears to be inspired by Fall Of Cybertron (video game) Bumblebee, RID (2015) cartoon Bumblebee and Transformers: Universe (discontinued MOBA game) concept art Bumblebee. I’m saying this with a reason.

You see, Bumblebee no longer looks ‘skeletal’ like he does on previous movies. He’s not too boxy like his G1 design either. He looks more ‘Mecha’. Having said that, he looks more “fat”. I mean, he’s not a ball type of fat but slightly fatter than usual. A playful kind of a chubbiness.

I described his chest last time. But there’s something important to tell you. If you even worry for a moment that a smaller budget means less detailed character designs, then worry not. He looks very realistic indeed. I didn’t even notice the Volkswagen air vent on his collar area in front of the chest, last time.

Remember those shoulder guards on RID Bumblebee? A guard similar to it have been shrunk in size and moved to the shoulder to act as shoulderpads. However, they do not house a wheel each (see below).

Speaking of forearms, they now carry two small pop-out missle launchers/blasters. We’ve seen it before, on the Age Of Extinction. But this time, they are less prominent. They are similar in nature to what is on the Ironman Armor.

His legs are the biggest change. The legs looks like a mix between Universe Bumblebee and TLK Optimus Prime’s legs. From afar, it looks like Bumblebee is wearing a pair of yellow Air Jordans.

His doorwings can be folded onto his back and go out of sight. Therefore, there is a doorwing-less version of the character. You can guess where this is going right? Very G1.

His car engine is his abdomen, which brings us to another important point:

There’s no bullshit mass displacement here. Vehicle parts are clearly visible therefore giving the impression that he actually transforms into a vehicle (hem hem, I’m looking at you AOE/TLK Optimus Prime).

Two wheels go to his back like his current version. Two wheels sit on either side underneath his chest (area below the armpits).

Two yellow oval-shaped thigh-guards are on the sides of his thighs.

Three fingers and one thumb on each hand.

Two pistons underneath the Shin-Knee Guards, which acts as his knees for movements.

His side-mirrors are between the back and the two wheels on the back.

A Secret Code - A Secret Mission

There’s one particular detail which I’m strictly not allowed to tell. It is plot related. And I feel like I got so spoiled when I saw it. Sadly, that spoiler will be on marketing material. Unless you really avoid things, you are bound to run into that spoiler at some point before the movie.

Logo and Slogan

There a new logo and a slogan which may be on the toys rather than for the movie. [Sadly] I cannot describe them. The logo depicts the fact that this is Movie #6. Actually they didn’t tell me that straight away, I found out. They were pretty impressed with my deduction. Hope that they’ll put the logo on a t-shirt because it looks really cool.

Sector 7

Sector 7 calls Bumblebee N.B.E.2. Which is canon in the continuity despite the fact that it was not officially stated in a movie (maybe on Transformers 2007?).

I saw that. But this isn't how the final design looks like. Although they did nail the chubbiness.

Yes. But it's the way we see it. Upon closer look, it's a speaker from a radio.

 

No. They didn't show me any villains.
