Given he was Galvatron Leonard Nimoy doesn't sign up to a Transformers movie if his character wasn't a bit evil, takes orders from nobody, take over the Cons, call a truce, and gets to disintegrate someone.

His character Sentinel Prime here is more of a Well Intentioned Extremist.

    Sentinel Prime is Galvatron light.

I remember before he was signed on, Bay was nervous about asking him to play the role, he's related through marriage, and voice actors don't make alot per gig. thankfully he agreed to it. Def brought a lot of weight to the role

Agreed, Leonard Nimoy is a great actor and his role in voicing Sentinel Prime brought a great depth to the character. I'm really glad that Michael Bay managed to get him to do the role. I really can't imagine anybody but Leonard Nimoy voicing Sentinel Prime.
