It's the movie forum so no.

But there have been versions of lego/fake lego transformers and all have been pretty much average at best. I remember reading about some last year on TFW

I remember building a lego transformer as a kid out of space lego. Worked out quite well - but wasnt very robust. I dont think they would work unless they weer made
up of a few large parts (and therefore completely missing the point of lego).

They had Lego Transformers of the Armada series, and they sucked, so no.

You have clearly never heard of BTR... It was an utter failure.

If done right it could be awesome, there are plenty of customs online that people have made. That said you would need to use a lot of Lego to make them cool and transform, and that would put the cost of the sets too high for most people.

BTR is not Lego, and was ill conceived and half ass. Not a good example of what Lego could do, Look up some of the higher end Lego Star Wars sets to see what I mean.

I don't want Transformers made of Legos, but I find Lego minifigs make great Human friends for your Transformers toys:

Also, the new weapon clip system is Lego compatible, so when Wheeljack comes out you can "upgrade" him with all kinds of clip-on-able Lego inventions.

I think, with the proper care, Lego Transformers could be great.

    No they didn't.

Lego Transformers done by Lego would be great. Lego knows how to do that stuff. The reason all these non-Lego Lego TFs suck is because it's not actually Lego.

Brickshelf has some great Lego Transformers people have made. Way better than the BTR sets could've ever been. BTR might've been better if thay hadn't insisted on using the same base to build off for every figure.
And of course who didn't make their own Lego Transformers when they were a kid and didn't yet have the toy they wanted?

Optimus Prime was always a favorite - complete with roller. But it was usually just his truck & trailer. I could never figure out a satisfactory way to make him transform into a robot...

Wait, are we talking about Transformer Lego blocks/sets or a console game like they've done for HP, Batman, Star Wars, etc?

I think a game would be fun, but not sure if it could go on as the others I've mentioned have. They've either had more movies, books, or comics and for some insane reason more general hype over the years than TFs have. Still, I'd make sure to pre-order a TF Lego game. :D

Well, I've seen a few good LEGO Primes around the web. I saw one that I thought was Masterpiece/20th Anniversary Prime. To be honest, it'd be a LEGO set I'd like to build.

    Buuuuuuuuuut...

This is why I can't buy one. LEGO sets nowadays are WAY overpriced for what they should be (cheapest ones I've seen are around $10 and have around five or ten bricks - for me, way too simple).

That said, if I'm gonna spend $100+ on an Optimus Prime that looks like Masterpiece Prime, it's gonna be Masterpiece Prime.

Even better: The spartan/soldier figurines from Megablok's Halo collection make an excellent NEST army :D

I think if Lego were to make their own Transformers they'd either combine the style of their technic and bionicle series or make them more like their Exo-Force line.
