Since the Fansproject A3 set is out of my reach, I had to come up with some solution to give my Superion some actual hands and feet (and gun). I used LEGO to achieve this, since the pegs and pegholes are just the same sized as lego pins and holes.

It's rather stable; it has some ankle-tilting going on, and the fingers can move independently. I need to strengthen the actual ball joints on the arm jets though, as they hardly support the extra weight.

That's not bad at all. The only thing I'd do is cover or remove the visible lego pegs on the feet.

I really like this, it just goes to show that necessity is the mother of invention. Those of us that can't afford the add on kit have found ways to improve on this combiner.

I just finished a similar project this weekend, but I used the lego pieces to attach the leftover limbs from Sams club exclusive RID Optimus. He's currently combined with RID Ultra Magnus on the shelf, so the forearms and feet were just laying around. It looks decent, the feet are maybe too big, but just about anything is better than the stock look for Superion. I'll try to add a picture later on today.

    Nice work though!!

So you're telling me that maybe $20 worth of legos can get me the same effect as a super expensive add-on?

Here's what I did using about 30 or 40 lego pieces. Granted, I also used the limbs from another bot, but I needed to legos to put it all together.
