Not sure if I'll ever customize these myself, but I thought it'd be fun to alter the basic Vehicon mold into the Miner and Jet variants. They do admittedly add quite a bit of kibble to an already kibble-laden toy, though the largest added kibble "coincidentally" falls over a 3mm peghole. And would make for nifty hand-weapons. As far as I know, the Miner Vehicon does NOT have an official alt mode (indeed I don't believe they've been confirmed to even transform), so I just winged that one. I'm pretty sure Jet Vehicons have the same visor as the Car versions; I went with a different one here since the Miners have their own and it made the Cars and Jets look too similar. Tried to make them "possible" customs, though I think any attempt would have to revise these bashes... particularly the Miner's drill, since the toy's head and chest are 'in' the alt's hood...
I'm really liking 'Isaac' the miner. The addition of the treads really works for the alt mode. Hmmm...
I've passed on the car vehicon CV every time I've seen it, that drill version looks cool though. If I saw it, I'd buy at least 3.

I can see the miner variant being possible via shapeways (FUD would work for the drill, maybe have treadchainsaws to plug into the sides.) and painting the second visor on... Flying version will likely be done later in the line.
I would buy them far more than a bog-standard repaint. Pity there wasn't some kind of customising set (officially or otherwise) to change a base Vehicon figure into various function forms. It'd be like Centurions, with lots of plug-on parts. I also want a Vehicon speedboat and submarine and helicoptor. Maybe a Vehicon tank too. Vehicon monster truck!
The likely option would be a drill that fits over the hood and a set of treads to cover the wheels. It would be a permanent mod, but one that could be done. That said, I hope there will be a Jet Vehicon. I'd love to see the official explanation for a flying car. I'd be far more inclined to buy more vehicons if these were official.
The drill on the minor looks like it was taken from a Blue Beetle Borg toy. Also I really like that idea of the minors being drill vehicles.
