After I took the pics I noticed a wire poking out the side, I've left the wires a bit longer than they shoud be while I try some different resistors but it can all be hidden inside his body. I used two tiny 1.55v watch batteries to power him, they tuck into the opening on his chest. The 3mm LED is a perfect size for his eye, I just drilled straight through the eye and removed a bit of plastic from inside the head. The red LED has also been painted red for when its switched off. I was planning to use a megnetic reed switch but I kept breaking them, instead I made a switch using his lower body pivot. There is a contact on the top part of the body and another on the lower part, when the body is squeezed together tight the light comes on, if the lower part is pulled down a tiny bit (about 2mm) the lights go out. The paint job is silver and gunmetal but it doesn't really show in the pics, I just made up a dodgy light box for the pics using high powered LED torches, they are too bright and focused. Here's a preview of another project i'm working on: Hakka.
