    Hello everyone.

I am a big fan of the ROTF Legends Class Devastator toy. It is a solid, cool representation of the character, and the only "real" combiner version of movie Devastator. This combiner toy got me to thinking however. What if Classic gestalts like G1 Menasor and Predaking had the same treatment? Hasbro is most likely not going to release deluxes of every single member of a combiner team, so why not turn to a simple, more cost effective size class such as Legends with which to make gestalts? Would you purchase such a series of toys?

I'd buy every damn one! The more stuff transforms, the better! I think Legends Class combiners that go from vehicles to robots to one big mega robot are way more fun that the PCC stuff we currently have (though that stuff is very fun for it's own reasons).

The PCC stuff seems more like a blend of Armada(minicons), Targetmasters, and Combiners to me.

I would absolutely snatch them all up. If I had to give up on deluxes for the funds, I would.

legends with a scout sized leader so it will be more g1 like with 4 of the same size guys with robot, vehicle, and body part and 1 big guy who turns into a vehicle, base, robot ,and body.

Why not just get the Micromaster versions that came out during the original Universe?

Sounds an awful lot like PCC.

Personaly, the only two combiner teams I would buy would be the Combaticons and the Areial Bots. Never really liked the other teams.

I'd love to see the Legends class expand in general, and it seems they're doing that for DotM. Fully transformable combiner teams would be an awesome addition, especially if the price is reasonable (IIRC, Devy was essentially was the cost of 6 Legends figures, meaning one Constructicon was "free"; not to shabby).

We would likely have a better chance at getting full gestalt teams --combining or not-- at this scale, too. Assuming they'd follow the 'gift set' pattern of Devastator.

That'd be a freaking awesome idea! I'd buy those suckers in a heartbeat!! If they're anything like Legends Devy though, the price may be a bit prohibitive for most. $30-$40 would be a lot to ask.

it does sound like pcc but i don't want a scout size combiner like ez devy if they are combiners they need to tower over other legends size toys and having a scout body will add size and bulk to them.

I'd be all over it. Plus they'd be in scale to the "huge" TF's like Metroplex and Maximus.

Well, we're looking at 5 bot teams, so in legends speak, that $25. I can imagine them getting cut down to about $20.

We'd have to wait and see on that one. I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro justified an MSRP of at least $30 with the extra work that goes into designing figures that both transform into robots as well parts that combine into a larger figure.

As long as they looked good, I would probably buy a majority of them.

Considering the middle bot needs to be bigger than the limbs, he'd end up being Scout sized. What we'd end up with is PCC with bot modes for the limbs. Which is a possibility if the PCC line does well.

I would honestly pass. I'm becoming more lenient on scale, but my Bruticus should be taller than deluxe Bumblebee. The only "combiners" I'd buy at legends scale would be an updated Armada Perceptor, updated G1 Squawkbox, and updated G1 Slamdance.
