Anyone else pick up "Godfather" today?

Grabbed it for the PC. Mindnumbingly awesome so far. I'm having tons and tons of fun with it. Brando's final work doing the VA'ing for this game was a nice touch, along with bringing back Jimmy Caan and Robert Duvall.

I'm planning on getting it as soon as I can. I LOVE the Godfather movies. I'm usually very wary of movie tie-ins, but this one DOES look bloody good.

I don't think that's Marlon Brando's voiceover. I once read a news story that said Marlon Brando's voiceover was unusable (even though it was just fine in the previews). My theory is that Brando's voiceovers were perfectly usable, but since Brando always wants LOTS OF MONEY, his lawyers/family probably sued EA or something, so EA put out that fake story about Brando's voiceover being unusable, and then hired a soundalike.

Anyways, that's what I heard about Brando's voiceover.

okay, after a couple of days with this game, I totally love it. They actually put some real effort into making a stellar game.

As for the Brando thing...if they didn't use his voice, the impersonator is spot on.

    I loved Godfather 1 & 2, have mixed feelings about 3.
Been wanting to play this pretty badly when it hits the ol console.
Man this game has been in production forever, glad to see it's finally here.
Usually awed by all the screen shots from the mags.

Can't get into the Scarface game much but it looks to be shaping up real nice.

Got it as well, but it's pretty 'mweh' so far. The shop extortion is awesome, but the rest...Been there, done that (not just with GTA, but with Mafia as well). Ironically though, it's EA's best game in my opinion. :peoples:

Beating up the guys who broke that chick's jaw was awesome though. :ev:  As was the bit with the horse head. :ev:
