How about Stage 5 of Contra on the NES? The part where you get to the plain walking area, and the odd tank vehicles come out that you have to use the Nintendo Thumb on. I always lose lives there.

The stage in the first Donkey Kong Country that's 2nd to last I believe is hard as cock. The part where you have to jump from oil barrel to oil barrel with perfect timing since the fire roars up in a pattern. I'v only passed it once.

I'm not a huge fan of the entire 6th World in New Super Mario Bros. either. Something about it isn't that fun.

Any game where you have to back track through the whole game, 'tis ass.

Zelda Oot, when you're doing the sidestuff to get that big sword.
The part where you have to run a mushroom across the land before it goes bad.

Call of Duty- Scripted checkpoints. If you die you have to hear it all over again & again

    Halo- Anything Flood related

Metroid Hunters- Escaping before the timer runs out

    Mega Man - Rockman boss

Oblivion - the "Allies for Bruma" quest in the main questline.

Not hard at all, but it's incredibly boring and tedious. For those who haven't played it, basically Oblivion's denizens are about to invade the city of Bruma. You have to go around to ALL the major cities in Tamriel, 6 in all I think, and gain their aid for Bruma. But that requires completing a sub-quest for each and every city of closing an Oblivion gate nearby. Closing a gate usually consists of going into it and into Oblivion, finding a way into the tower in there that holds the Sigil Stone powering the gate, finding your way thru the tower to said stone, grabbing it to destroy the gate, and getting auto-ejected back into Tamriel.

The process usually takes about a half hour or so if you don't rush, longer if you decide to completely explore and loot the place. But having to do that 6 times over is just so boring and tedious. Hate that quest so much.

That stupid water puzzle you encounter early on, I can never get past that part.

    Any Megaman X games:
ANY levels that require you to use the Ride Chasers...I really hate those stages.

Tekken 6 - the final boss. Such a cheap boss and one really has to resort to cheap play to beat him! LOL!

For some reason i could never beat super mario 64.that last level i utterly hate.

also i always get so mad whenever i play mortal kombat trilogy and face shao kahn.
He stands there, slaps me in the face, reducing my health to like half, pionts and laughs and then charges at me like the flippin juggernaught.

shao kahn is awesome, he's just a tough sum bitch :)

Also when i usually play video games i get to really enjoy the characters.

im gonna be honest, i shed a tear for the noble team after i beat halo~reach.
im not ashamed, and im buying all the noble team figures.

at least master chief is still (technically) alive,i think.

also i always hated fighting darktooth in twisted metal 2 (my favourite video game ever)
first video game i ever played on the psone.

The bit in the Centaur level of Gears 2 on insane where you have to destroy the turret in front of the cave, died so many times there. The level itself otherwise was pretty good.

I never played it on insane, but I remember having a lot of trouble with that level at first. I just didn't get what I was supposed to be doing. I was distracted by everything else.

That level (temple) gave me nightmares some twelve years ago!

COD4- The Mile high Club level and the Silo Level as well on veteran levels!

Magneto in X-men children of the atom on the hardest difficulty on the dreamcast. (I dont think I ever defeated him)

Alien Soldier (mega drive)-that boss that could transform into 5 different things.

I'll have to agree with the OoT Water Temple. Yikes.

In fact, most water levels of any platforming game like Mario will tend to get on my nerves.

The last area on Horizon and the really long hallway towards the end of the Derelict Reaper in Mass Effect 2. Both are incredibly annoying on Insanity alone, and fairly hard during a first playthrough for a guy who's never touched a shooter before in his life.
