Anyone else trying to learn Japanese on here?
I'm finding it extremely fun so far. Interested in seeing who else on here is trying to learn it.

I'd love to learn Japanese fully, but so far I've memorized only a few words. Can't really get around to it, too lazy.

I've just finished my 4th year of Japanese in high school.

Unfortunately, the college I'm going to doesn't offer it, so I'll be looking into alternative methods from here on out.

"Konnichiwa" you better open "sore" thing up and play it. You're so "dame".
    "Arigato" for playing.

Just finished my second year of Japanese. Unfortunately, I started Japanese late and will only be able to get to Jap 3 in High School.
My friend is taking a Japanese class and says that it's more of a speaking class than a writing class. And the fact that they went over Katakana and Hirigana in only 4 days worries me. But than again that stuff isn't really important if they're learning speech only.

While I know a lot of Japanese words, phrases and sentences, I find that I can't really pick out words that easily when I hear a native Japanese speaker speaking at their regular speed. So a class like that might be best for me.

    I'm fluent.

That's what I get for being a half-Japanese who grew up in Japan. :ev:

I'd love to learn Japanese. I already know a little bit of Spanish, so it would be fun to learn another language.

Taihen sukoshi nihongo wakarimasu. I took it from the fall of 1994 to January of 1996 at the local college, but mid January was when I found I had more of a passion for Farsi/Persian, so I didn't keep up with it once I switched up. Unlike Farsi, Japanese courses, books, videos, etc are no problem to find, IMO. There's more of a mass-market interest, thus more options available for people wanting to learn it.

    REinterested.

I had to turn off the volume, her voice was a little grating.

Granted, I probably would have turned off the volume anyway, even if her voice sounded like angels singing. She's got a daaaaaaamn fine personality.

I figure I know a few words in Japanese. A couple of them I learned from TV-Nihon refusing to translate some words like "Tachi" and "Kisama," others I learned from matching sounds to subtitles. I'd like to share those particular words, but I'm afraid some small child will google them and I'd get in trouble.

    Kuso wa honto ni cash.

I took 4 years of Japanese and finished JLPT 2-4. You'd think I would know more than I should, but that's not the case which is quite sad imo. Ehh I can still at least read a Japanese newspaper and converse with the the Japanese locals with little trouble so I can't complain much. Take it from me, use it or forget it.

The only Japanese I know are a few catchphrases I picked up from watching anime, most of which are used to start a fight.
