So, after Animated leader Megs, Bulkhead, and Ultra Magnus, we've seen that Hasbro can make a transformer figure show accurate and have working electronics. Anyone else think they should do that for, the leaders at least from now on? Like, not just lights, and sounds, but the voice actors actually saying memorable lines from the show?

Like movie prime and megs, have a huge automorph chest that they could of added a voice box to. Anyone else agree with me?
    Voice box ftw?

I'm totally down with that. As long as the voices are the actual actors voices, unlike Leader Megatron from animated. Is that Corey Burtons voice? Don't think it is.

Leader Prime and Megs do have sound boxes, as does Leader Brawl. Leader Brawl is probably the best example. If Hasbro gives us a Leader Starscream for movie 2, here's hoping he'll either have kickass sounds or voices.

And yes, that is Corey Burton's voice on leader Megatron.

The next best thing would be to include a way for us to upload our own voice recordings/downloads into the voicebox unit via USB or something from our PCs.

Yeah it does, does more... G1 Megatron sounding. Plus it's hard to link TFA Megs to any Megatron who laughs. (something TFA Megs' never done in the cartoon)

"Crush the Autobots" is the best way to hear it.

    Actually, it's not, you see...

It's actually quite clear for something coming out of a toy. (it still obviuosly sounds like it's coming out of a toy, but till...)

The voices and sounds are nice, but to me, I'd rather not have any of that stuff on a Leader fig. I know it's a selling point, but there's always a big chunky heavy box with all the electronics in it. I'd rather not have the toy play with itself. One reason I avoid leader figs, along with the price.

But if we have to have sounds, voices are a great touch. Corey Burton on Megatron's toy sounds good.

Which is what I was saying. Good quality sound for a toy=sounds like shit.

If you guys want proof that Leader Megs got Corey's voice, just compares his Crush the Autobots to that part of his speech in episode 19.

i like these voices, but the transformation sound is what does it for me. if i could have that on every toy with a soundchip for the rest of time, id be thrilled. it was the only reason i was tempted to buy the premium leaders again after already having the originals. Though i think aside from that particular effect, ldr brawls weapons sounds are my favorite (both actual sounds and how they are implemented).

Also remember that the voices change. David Kaye said it himself that after they recorded X number of episodes and he had polished the voice for Prime, they went back and rerecorded some of the earlier episodes. It's not impossible that they recorded the lines for Hasbro before they had polished their voices. But it's mostly likely the craptastic speakers they put in the toys.

I'm fine with it if it doesn't compromise the engineering or design..... but that's a very big "if."
