So here's my story, I'll keep it short.

Back in January I got a leader class Nightwatch Prime from the 1st Movie line and had this idea to repaint it as a sort of MP Motormaster. I came here to talk about it and, of course, learned Rumble_Frenzy had beaten me to it and made a peice exactly like I pictured. :redface2:  Undaunted I promptly stole all his ideas and went ahead with my project anyway :D

When I was almost finished reassembling it I had another idea. I wanted to try to recreate the "hooded" look of the original G1 figure, this is what I came up with:

The windscreen in truck mode flips up to frame his head in 'bot mode.

I had to scratch build the peice from styrene and it's not perfect. I'll probably try again sometime to get it just right, but over all I'm pretty happy with the result.

Here's a few more for some comparison:

I started on a sword too because I always liked that MM carried Menasaurs sword and his size makes him a good match for MP Grimlock.

This is one with some of my Alt. Stunticons, one of the reasons I wanted to do this project in the first place.

What do you think? Suggestions are welcome!

looks really good, kryptofred. The windscreen frames the head really well, and the scale with that alternator is perfect!

Looks excellent!! Now what would really make it great to me would be to paint the blue to purple. Then it would truly look like Motormaster!! That is all he's missing.

thanks for the kind words everybody!

Originally I was planning on painting all the blue bits purple, but once I got the black done and started puting the parts back together I noticed how well all the blue went together. Except for the windows, the blue is all original to the toy (the head is an Energon Megatron) and I was frankly afraid my painting skills weren't up to the challenge. I still might.

I like all of the changes you've made to him so far. It's always cool seeing this mold as Motormaster :thumb
