Okay, according to S250 and Peaugh, there MAY be a Leader Class Starscream in our future. What would you want it to be? Features? Electronic phrases you want him to say(because you know he'll have them anyway)? Screen accuracy? Discuss the possibilities.
I'm...not really looking forward to that idea actually. The quality level in Leaders just never wins me over when compared to what they can do with Voyager and Deluxe sizes. Half the time when I buy a Leader I pop the batteries out cause the lights and sounds drive me crazy, so I'm not seeing what a Leader Class Screamer could have that would win over my wallet. All I really want in a Leader is size and posability, and knowing the trend, the Leader Starscream won't be even half as posable as his Voyager, so I'm not optimistic about this one.
We're not sure it will even happen. If it does, one of three things will happen: 1)The Leader Class mold will suck, and everybody will stick with the Voyager. 2)The Leader Class mold will suck, and everyone will buy it just because it is a Leader Class Starscream. 3)The Leader Class mold will kick ass on par with Leader Prime, and everyone will buy it. Who knows at this point, though.
As much as I want to disagree with you, I can't, because you are right. It will have the obligatory electronics gimmick, which will cripple the complex transformation of the figure, most likely. (Crosses fingers in hope we are all wrong)
This will most likely happen, but there is hope. Leader Prime is nearly perfect, even with the electronics. Megatron and Jetfire are not as good because they're new designs (and one has to combine). Starscream, like Prime, is a movie one design that can be (nearly) perfected. See what I'm saying?
It could be awesome, like RotF Prime, ore an epic fail like most other Ultra and up size class figures are. If they are giving us a Leader Starscream, I would want it to basically be a larger and better take on the new Voyager mold we're getting. With a similar deco, but with a more slightly blue-ish color of silver instead of the tan, and keep the tattoos, or whatever they are. He'd unfortunately have electronics, but they could, potentially, be worked in nicely (like Prime's are). Articulated fingers and some proportionate legs would be nice too. I think the Voyager's legs are too small/skinny compared to his body. In the end I'll still probably get the Voyager instead, and even then maybe wait for a Premium repaint. On a side note, I really hope we get a Voyager class Jetfire figure. That way I can get Prime, Megs, Jetfire, and Starscream all at the same size class, and they'll look better next to each other (instead of one or two of them looking like children compared to the others).
I'd love to see a leader class Starscream. The only thing I want is for the screen accuracy to be on par with Prime. I don't care about any gimmicks.
Wait. What? When was this? We'll get a Leader Class Starscream, but we can't even get a Voyager Class Bonecrusher? Pathetic.
If they can make the alt mode look like an F22 instead of an F22 with a ton of scrap underneath, that would be good.
ya, but Starscream seems to be a major player in ROTF and had a decent roll in TF1, so to me it makes sense.
God I hope they aren't doing a leader Starscream. The new voyager is good enough that you just know the Leader isn't going to cut it. Plus they'd milk us for every last penny with the repaints. Of course we wouldn't have to buy it, I just hate to see them waste the opportunity of a mold. If they are doing a 4th leader mold, I'd far prefer if they went with Blackout. In the scale of things, Starscream hardly demands a leader anyway. Maybe last movie, but not this time.
I'd also much rather have a Leader class Blackout. The brand new Voyager mold for Screamer looks fantastic, and even though Blackout is evidently in ROTF (not to mention his screen time in the first movie) he's only getting a couple lousy repaints? yet we're expecting Screamer to get a second, larger brand new mold?? Bah. Oh well. Given the time it takes to craft new figures what ever decisions were made long ago, and theres no hope in whining about it now.
I'd rather them do a new character for their first ever 4th-leader-in-a-line, but I'd probably buy it anyway
The more I think about it, the more I fear them messing him up too much with a bunch of kibble on the underbelly and too thick of a chest with whatever half-ass gimmic they give him. I would probably buy him, but I just don't know that they could do him enough justice and go that far beyond the new Voyager mold they have created. I am not a stickler for scale, so that is not my reason for hoping that if there is a 4th figure, it should be Blackout. I just think he is a bit bulkier character with more girth that would allow for a gimmic and still look alright. Also after having Ultra Silverbolt, I would much rather have some cheesy sound gimmic for a chopper rather than a jet again. And finally, that shot of Blackout in the forest in the latest trailer has just sold me on him as a figure that needs a little more lovin.
Not totally against a leader Screamer, but if The Fallen turns out to be a villain on par with Megs, I would rather him get a leader class figure. It will be weird having Leader Prime paired up with Voyager The Fallen.
I don't remember any one saying it was for sure Starscream (though, please correct me if I'm wrong) just that it was a leader class mold and an air force ...thing. That could be Blackout right? Or is the pave low copter used more in the Army? Man I hope its Blackout. But if it is Screamer, I'll wait for pics, that could be cool too. Not AS cool as Blackout but still cool.
