If you had to choose between Sentinel or Ironhide, which would you choose?

Now the reason I ask this is because funds this year for DotM may be shortened, and because I planned to only buy the two Leaders in question (because I'm a Leader Class nut/sweater/freak). So I would like other peoples oppinions. To see if anyone is wiser or can tell me anything helpful.

Any help or reply is appreciated!

Ironhide. Go watch Optibotimus' reviews of both if you want in-depth opinions.

Sentinel Prime no question. Ironhide has a very basic transformation scheme [legs are just silly] and is less articulated. Plus, the Voyager [2007] sculpt is pretty much perfect and in no need for upgrades, IMO.

I'd go with Sentinel Prime. Ironhide has already had atleast one deluxe & voyager class incarnation.

Sentinel & Shockwave are the only ones I'm even remotely interested in at the moment.

Whatever your decision make sure to have fun.

I agree about the transformation, but I think articulation is about even, and the '07 Voyager mold had a lot of room for improvement.

Sentinel. Its a new character, its a new mold. Its got less "flaws" from reviews. Both of them are great, don't get me wrong. But you can prob. get other ironhides fairly cheap later on.

I think you will be able to get both pretty easily for the next two years with on and off again sales but if I could only get one I would get Sentinel Prime because this is his first movie toy. I think both toys look wonderful though to be honest.

Sentinel. I want both, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the guy who only has one "mainline" toy. I already have deluxe Ironhide, which is the best the character's ever been.

Room for improvement? It's crap. Floppy, and barely looks like Ironhide.

I said a lot. I like the Recon version, but the deluxe is the best we've gotten so far.

Without a doubt,Sentinel all the way,its a no brainer since SP is so kickass compared to Ironhide. But like others say get both if you can afford it.

There is a very strong chance both will on shelves for a long time yet, possibly on deep discount if the timing is right.

I watched optibotimus' reviews of both of them, he seemed alot more impressed with Ironhide to me. I mean, I'm not going to only take his opinion under consideration (I value everyone's). Sentinel seems to be the popular choice. Is there anyone who has SP and/or Ironhide who could compare the two? If not that's fine. I'll probably choose SP if push comes to shove and I can't afford both.

I'd take Sentinel first. I'm more than happy with deluxe Ironhide, even if leader IH looks very nice.

Let's hope voyager Sentinel is cool too. If it's similar to how BB Prime was to the leader mold, i might end up getting the voyager instead.

Sentinel Prime hands down. He's a new character, has an interesting transformation sequence, his face is modeled after Peter Cullen's, and he looks downright awesome. Need I say more?

Even though I'm really pretty impressed with Sentinel Prime, I am practically astounded by Ironhide. Even though he doesn't have quite the right proportions (Haloid1177's absolutely right about the Deluxe version,) his pop-out weapons gimmicks are masterfully executed & he just looks 100% damn solid. So yes, he's the 1st figure I'll grab on the 16th, BUT...

...Sentinel Prime is almost certainly going to be the one Leader class figure I'm going to actually hold out for a fully painted version of, even if that ends up being a japanese or premium release. The one thing SP has going against itself IMO is that he really deserves a full metallic red paint coat & I think the plastic version cheapens the look. And I want paint chip damage, even if I have to do it myself.
