I didnt have a chance to pick this one up so i will def be interested in buying this one. While i am not tooo crazy about it. The Sword is pretty cool and the head sculp it is okay. I just wanted Prime for my collection so i will go ahead and get it. The honest truth the reason they keep bringing new ones out isnt for the collectors it is for the kids. IN the kids mind they seen him different with a sword. So I will be buying this one.

 

There is a Way: Have Hasbro add a Sword as a slideable to the other Arm, but i really doubt, that the guy who's deciding this, can count up to two weapons.

Well, f they happen to remove the springloaded Arm, Barricade would be so much better for me!

 

After seeing the pic, I think I'm going to pass on this one as it would look too much like the one I already have. I'm looking forward to the Nightwatch Optimus Prime though with much different paint apps.

 

I do like his new head, as verses his "short stubby ears" on the previous release of Hasbro. His sword is nice, but I won't be getting this one. The removal of paint upon his legs dosen't seem to work, but I do like his gold shoulders; that's all. If they would have given him chrome grill and gas tanks, I'd be jumping to get this guy. But otherwise, I can probably get the sword elsewhere and only that. I'm anticipating the repaint/remold of premium Megatron, which gives me the leap-and-bound feeling like Cybertron Megatron and Galvatron.

 

We all were. hmm I thought there'd be more to it too, but its till worthy of repainting in my style. i.e, Lights, a black wash here and there, detailing. Sword is nice and head is well.... different.

 

Make sure you get one without paint drips all over it. Check it out good b ecause I spent a while cleaning mine up, the first one anyways. Megs is a must buy, not so sure about Prime but since I have bought all so far, more than likely.

What i find amazing is all the negative feedabck and all the no's and yet when it comes out he'll be gone really quick lol

to me he doesn't look differnet at all I like the retractable sword gimmick and big deal extended fins oooooh they still don't scream buy me but knowing me I'll still buy it, i'll just pop off the Prime's gun I already have and use it as a side accessory for the premium one.

 

Guys, pay attention.

This thing is similar to robovision prime.


They still cheaped on the paint apps.

The details you get on the regular leader and voyager prime is missing from those legs.

They painted silver over it and that's it, no new paint apps on top of the silver.

Then there's torso and arms, absolutely no silver paint at all.


It looks very weird, not uniformed.

You either paint all the grey silver, or leave all the grey unpainted.

This one looks weird, just like the robovision prime.

You may think they improved on the paint app but I think they traded you off with just purely silver over better detailed apps.

They did not ADD more paint, merely added silver and even then it's not on all greys, and took away a lot of other colors.

It's not worth repurchasing this figure if you already have a leader prime.

 

Hahahahahahahah, no-one's making you buy anything. If you like it, buy it. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

If you're a completionist, then it's your own silly fault and it's no use complaining about Hasbro trying to *gasp* maximize their profit.

Funny you mention the grill and gas tanks specifically, because they did appear to paint those parts

Blue parts circled are the ones that have been painted silver.

It's mounted onto the clip where the gun was, so it uses the same sliding gimmick, but I believe you have to fold the hand into the arm... since the real sword replaces the hand.

Also, if the sword is too skinny to fit over the hand (and it is, obviously), well, you would be seeing his fist in that photo from that angle. But we don't, because the hand is folded away.

It's mounted on the same hardpoint as the gun, so it goes where the gun goes on the normal Leader primes - on the side of his arm in bot mode, or the back of the truck.

 

I expected more detail than this. The new head and the sword are nice but not worth it to me. I'll pass but may have to pick up the Megatron if his head is as disproportionate as it looks in the pictures I've seen.

 

If I see in in the store I'll be getting this.

hmm well i think my orignal OPs and a KO sword will do, that blade looks a bit crap to me, but i think its great if you dont have a Leader OPs yet

How can this be Premium? They should have included both the gun and the sword plus and AX and a Matrix. More detailing....the truck seems the same.
This is only good for those who missed on the first release.
