Collection DX, a toy review website, has just posted up a combination picture/video review. The webmaster's verdict? He loves it. Both reviews can be found here: http://www.collectiondx.com/node/1522

Finally a real review! Collection DX is the best.

As for Prime, I think he's mindblowing. I know it will be my favorite Prime ever by far because he has everything I ever wanted in a Prime toy :

    -articulated robot mode
    -complex transformation
    -electronics
    -realistic alternate mode

I was kinda sitting on the fence about getting him, thats a sure thing right now. Still don't know about Megatron. The bot mode and space ship thing mode leave something to be desired but I"ll wait for a couple of reviews before condemning it from my collection.

Can't wait to pick this bad boy up! I'll probably wait for the Target version though.

Talk about transformation...that's fantastic. It out transforms any Alt/Masterpiece, easy. It still looks meh in robot mode, but wow.

Basically Hasbro PR has been sending movie Optimus toys to several toy-related and transformers-related sites recently to build up buzz for both the movie and its toyline. It appears to be working quite well.

Okaaaay, I was favouring the Leader version anyway (I'll need a biggun to face-off with Leader MEGATRON), but this cements it.
Really nice detail, great posability and that truck mode. Voyager PRIME just got well and truly relegated.

I still don't care for that head, but the review is actually pushing me towards buying it. A definite step up from the voyager version, but not in the way you would think. This version seems to have a much more traditional look to it compared to the voyager.

A Black Convoy version with a new head (and an energy sword) would be a must buy.

The CollectionDX reviews are easily my favourites. His 3 part review of the SOC Gunbuster was awesome.
Well, that's it. I am definitely getting this toy. That thing is nothing short of beautiful.

I'm really digging this version of Optimus, I really like a lot of the detail and articulation that it seems to have. Definitely plan on trying to pick it up.

I hate that every review I see makes me want this Prime more, and I'm supposed to cut back on my TF budget. I'll probably end up buying this Prime sooner or later

I like the head better than the voyager as the faceplate isn't as beak-like and the eyes are almost... sage. The sculpting is very expressive.

In fact, most of the upper body looks great, but I'm really disappointed that they couldn't get the legs to transform like the CGI model as those legs do a lot to make the movie design sleek.

I think what's putting some of us off is the shortness of the toy's legs combined with the stoutness of his torso.

Then there's the deviations from his transformation: the rear wheels become coattail kibble and the front wheels and fenders aren't touched.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Movie Prime's design, but maybe that's also the problem. It seems neither this nor any other version transforms the legs properly and I don't want to spend bocou bucks just to have a vague representation.
