    Hi

    Simple question.

Why does the Leader Class JETFIRE have a Scottish voice, when in the film he had an English one!?

Is this a cockup from Hasbro?

Maybe at one point in the movie's production, Jetfire had a different voice?

What the fu*ks a "cockup"? And I think he was meant to have a Scottish accent in the movie. But either the producers found it in poor taste, or Mark Ryan chose to not voice it like that.

A cockup is an English term that means they messed up, they ****ed up. Get me?

Well I wont be buying LC Jetfire cause it annoys me that they cant get the voice right! The toy came out AFTER the film, so why cant they just alter the voice to an English one! And why was he English anyway when he picked up the voice off the staff/visitors at the Aircraft Museum!!?? Oh too many questions!! :S

Hey, 20th anniversary Optimus Prime came with a soundboard that featured a generic guy as Optimus Prime. And Animated Leader Megatron sounds alot more maniacal than the cold, calculating Megatron from the series.

For Jetfire, it's possible his voice (done in post-production) wasn't decided upon yet, but Hasbro had to go and make the toy. Maybe the script said he would be Scottish, or old English sounding..but they had to put something in there.

    It happens.

This. While it does tick me off that they don't have the original VA doing the voice for the toys, it can't be helped. Sometimes they can't get the original VAs to speak lines for their talking toys, and sometimes they have no clue who's going to voice the character in a series or movie, so they have to find somebody to record the voice instead.

Sounds like Shrek, don't you think? I've been oh-so tempted to stand mine with Mack Kick. If only I could find the right scene to parody.
