Just a quick note, this guy finishes on eBay very soon if anyone is curious. Also for those who asked what his extra parts were sculpted in, I sculpted them in a mix of super sculpey magic sculpt and keen klay (which is a type of sculpters plasticene) then I molded and cast the parts in resin for extra toughness.

the fallen was my favourite character from the film and even though leader class fallen figures havebeen done before, i decided to try my hand at him. Most leader class fallen figures i have seen have taken two voyager figures and combined them to add the extra height to the figure, but i really wanted
to make mine different so i scratch built a bunch of new parts for him.

I split the chest and sculpted a brand new chest and upper torso for him which really adds some much needed bulk, it also gave me a chance to add a spine at his back as in the film. the waist is ball jointed too. i also made some
articulated tendon thingys that connect his arms to his back. his neck has been scratch built and now has a much greater range of movement due to double ball joints (continued the spine design on the neck too). He also has scratchbuilt upper arms and leg extensions as well as added articulation in his ankles. his staff is made from scratch and i also did a resculpt of his head to get rid of those dopey soft rubber antenna things as well as making it a bit longer and adding some bulk to the underside. For those
that are curious there are only parts from one voyager class here everything else was scratch built and cast. hope you all like him and he is up on ebay as of sunday night if anybody wants this guy.

Holy shit, it actually looks like the Fallen, and not a Fallen combiner that stopped eating for a few months.

I would've used the newer Fallen head since it's more accuarte but hot damn this is still the most accurate I've seen. You sculpted that torso yourself!?

I have to say I don't like the staff. It's way too modern, plate-metal looking. The Fallen has a very organic design that's reflected in his staff which is very clean and smooth.

Nicely done! I really like this a lot. What did you use to sculpt the new pieces? A couple things I may of sculpted a little differently, but this really does look great man.

Thanks, for some reason spines on robots really do it for me, but so few characters let you do it, but the fallen was a perfect character to have fun with in the spine department :)

The amazing thing is it is so difficult to tell which parts are sculpted and which are originals. That's a mark of a great piece of art. The details just flow so smoothly together. I think the staff works fine the way it is; I'm digging the details on it.

My only nitpicks are the head and the ass...The head could be even more accurate, though I think you did an excellent job on the side fin-thingamajigs... Same for the ass, the spine ends too abruptly and there's a chunky, squarish portion that doesn't seem to fit below that. But, I saying all these is because I see you have put in so much work on the sculpting you could have gone all the way and made it perfect. What is perfect anyway?? We can keep grinding away on a piece for a whole year and there are still improvements to be made... :lol

Nice painting by the way. Subtle and effective.

If we are going to critique, I'll add my two cents.

There are a lot of great features to this piece: the hands, the head, the staff.

However, the one thing that could stand a lot of improvement is the torso and chest. It's not really movie accurate at all. That piece that looks like the WWE championship belt you have kind of draped loosely around his waistline should really be up around the diaphragm, with the appendages shooting out horizontally towards the elbows. The appendages themselves should be sinuey (sp?) and more alien like.

That's the major hangup I see. Some minor ones would be the shoulders are too far appart, the movie Fallen's shoulders are nowhere's near that broad. He's actually got relatively narrow shoulders with big long arms.

The forearm pieces/armor should be longer. The thighs are a little too long, imo, but that's just me.

Definitely some room for improvement on an otherwise impressive piece. All of the scratchbuilt parts are impressive. A slight tweek would be to make the head a little more narrow so it looks more elongated. The paint job is nice. Would love to see a v2 from you.
