i never make plans before starting... i make things up as i go but i do sometimes draw silouhettes to get the proportions right but that,s about it.... as for scaling i dont have a defenitive answer... usually i make a part... usually legs and after that i build on them from that.... update! feet are made, the round pieces on the lower leg installed as well.... coming along nicely !
If you offer it unpainted - will it be unassembled for ease of painting? Or easily dismantled, etc? Looks more amazing with each update!
it will be assembled but the arms and legs come off no problem... but there are parts that will need to remain attached...
Wow that is crazy the more I think about it you have been building this for only about 50 days. It looks like your about 70 to 80 % done. I just started a small one and it has taken me over 2 weeks on the arms and I'm still not done. Thanks you inspire me. And if you have some time I might have a couple questions to help me with the transformation as this will be my first. Thanks for your time. Rebornee
hey guys ! had a hell of a week with this... i had problems big time with it... but i,ve manage to fix everything and modify a couple of things that were playing havoc with this project !! still have a few details that i,m working on but it paid off to relentlessly work on this... at this point half of this project is different then it,s predecessor.... more to come soon !! oh and you can ask me if you do have problems with your project rebornee ! i hope you,ll have less trouble then i had with it !!!
Thanks how do you get arms to move up and over. And how did you figure out the radius on the foot?I use your pictures as reference. I just print them to the scale I want. Mine will be 6 inches tall. Here is a couple pics. Rebornee
6 inchs tall ? the feet or the entire figure ? i see where the problem is in your pic... i,ve put some commentaries on it ... hope it helps !!
You should seriously consider going the route of Fans Project or that "Knight Morpher" Hearts of Steel Optimus and get a full production run going. You could get your cost per unit way down that way.
Thanks Anemis both the shoulder to elbow and the elbow to forearm have swivels. Will cut that down thanks never thought of that. And the total height will 6 inches or deluxe class. Think at that size class I can get away with a little less detail. think it will look cool with activators. And next to my non-transforming Lugnut Supreme. Thanks Again Rebornee
my guess is 25 to 30 if all goes well.... i will have different versions availble as well and also some interesting add-ons versions that will be available are: omega supreme, lugnut supreme and omega sentinels or delta supreme if i,m right....
Heres an idea for you: Make an Omega Sentinel painted like the Elite Guard ship. Look at the "Steelhaven" on the AllSpark Almanac 1 page 134. It's obviosly an Omega Sentinel with a back piece added on. EDIT: I found a picture
lol i,m there !! 1000 posts !! as for the elite guard ship there are plans to make it... with the back piece as well.. that was what i had started for the last omega i built but didnt finish it... but now i will
sheesh dude, with the variants, the backpack addition....you'll be able to retire on these figures....
looks sick how do you find the time. I get close to an hour a day to work on it. gratz on the 1000 posts. Rebornee
