For some reason, the Headmaster head on the Bulkhead I just got doesn't work. So, the question then becomes, why isn't it? How does it work? Is there anything I can do on my end to try and fix it? All the other sounds work fine, for the record.
sometimes you have to kind of wiggle it into position. at least on mine, it kinda has to be pushed forward a little bit and it'll activate. try, try again if not, post pics.
Well, occasionally if I fiddle with it, I'll get the sound. But even then, it usually can't be triggered by the button.
ohhhhh, i thought you meant it doesn't click on right to make the noise. hmmm, i dunno, if its the button it;s probably something with the electrical. sorry, i wish i could help general tekno
I think it is the button - that's my suspicion anyway. Anyone got any suggestions/feedback? I REALLY don't want to do the whole exchanging song and dance number, since I'd need to buy one from a different store and swap it.
while you're swapping you can get rid of the saw arm on yours for another grab hand and return one with two saw hands! lol.
Probably could... Didn't think of that. But that almost seems unethical. Do toys returned to TRU end up back on shelves? I don't want to do that to someone.
According to the Puritans frequenting this forum? That's stealing and you'll go to Toy Hell for it. ...But since you're returning it as defective ANYWAYS, I personally can't see a single reason why you shouldn't do it.
I sure hope this doesn't turn into another one of those threads. and yeah, I would recommend returning it before trying to fiddle with the electronics.
i had a similar problem too...except that the headmaster thing worked just fine, but once transformed, bulkhead didnt say his quotes but let off his siren, in robot mode.... i just kept fiddling with it...and found that when u twist his head towards his left, it makes the transformation sound and then he starts to quote normally...after a while it stopped working again too, but now its fine...just fiddle with the head a bit before u return it
Yeah - I did fiddle a bunch. It's just gonna be a pain as the only way to return it and get a new one at the same price will be to buy one from Toys-R-Us, swap it with the first one I got and then return that one. Which means 2 trips that can't be TOO close together for obvious reasons. I figured out how his transformation sound is triggered, and I think I know which button handles the headmaster voice, but yeah - at this point I'll probably just return him.
