I always thought that Megatron in Cybertronian jet mode was pretty lame, and now with the release of Leader Brawl, seems like the perfect time for an earth mode, a G2 Megatron! What do you guys think?

I have had the thought of it, but, I personally wouldn't do that to a Brawl, especially a Leader class Brawl. Also, if I were you, I'd pick a different/bigger head to replace Brawl's. Classics Meg's head looks a bit tiny on Brawl's body, lol.

I would use that head on a deluxe brawl instead.

I never liked the design of Brawl's head, so I have no problem replacing it, any suggestions as to which head to use?

I'm thinking that it would then be too big for him, unless he doesn't plan to transform him.

Even if he did, it still probably wouldn't look right. I'm thinking that the Deluxe 2-pack Classics Megatron head would work good if he were to use the Deluxe Brawl, though I have no idea what head he could use on the Leader Brawl.

Yeah I was just kidding anyways, I really don't think it looks that great, I really like that wreckage megatron that someone did though, I 'm planning on doing that and just using sculpt to make his head look right and adding some extra firepower to him to make him more of a threat.

Why not use a G2 Megs head on it? That's just a suggestion because I actually like the Classics Megatron head for this custom, esp. with the green eyes :)

Keep us posted on your progress! :thumb

This could work, though I'd be inclined to change his claws for hands. Too bad the BIG cannon doesn't go on his arm like the Deluxe Brawl... that would be more "Megs".

I agree that the head is too small... normally I prefer small heads on TFs but I think this is too small for the kind of head it is, and to represent Megatron. It almost gives the impression of a smaller Megatron encased in some kind of upgrade hardcore battle armour, with his normal head sticking out. :)

A slightly larger head would be the one on the G2 small version of Megatron (the "Bludgeon" repaint)... though that might still be too small.

There's also the bootleg larger version of "Reverse Convoy" that some sellers online have. The Megs head is a good size on that one... and it looks sort of cool and armoured-up (fits with the Brawl body). And because it comes with a Prime head too, you don't end up with a headless figure afterwards. :)

Finally, you could always bash a head out of pretty much any Transformer with a stern face... Devastator, BW Transmetal Megatron, etc... Megatron's head design is simple enough that you could probably make a custom helmet shape without too much difficulty.

I think it's a good idea to do a G2 Megs with Leader Brawl. As for heads, you might go for Energon Megatron head. It will take a little putty work, but it may work out pretty well.

The biggest issue for using either Leader or Deluxe Brawl as Megatron is head clearance. There is very little of it.

Thanks for the suggestion guys, I don't have a G2 Megatron, especially not a junker one, but that KO reverse convoy might not be a bad idea at all... worse comes to worse I'm gonna have to make one from scratch... I'm also planning to have a cover to hide that hole in tank mode. As for the hands, I'm still debating, the toy itself didn't leave much room being it's so skinny, it might affect the transformation if I added more normal arms to it.

You might want to try Gundam hands, or any articulated hands. That way they can lay flat.

Try to find a leader meg head that you do like. Or carve a helmet out of wood and use a g.i.joe sigma six face/ head. No no, that's a horrible idea.
