well, after this recall, I was wondering if plastic would reside in the paint, the plastic, or both... because this is starting to freak me out

Just don't let a certain KO basher go ruining your day with the lead problem.

I can imagine it now: "DON'T BUY IT! IT'S A KO! IT'S GOT LEAD!"

I remember a while back I read an article where G1 toys released in Mexico had a significant amount of lead compared to the US

Like the above two said... even if there is lead, unless you are sucking on your KOs or sleeping naked on a pile of them, I wouldn't sweat it.

The lead is in the paint. And knockoffs don't have a lot of that.

You have to let the figure sit and soak into your skin before even feeling a bit of any lead poisoning.

Otherwise, as hard as it is, keep Optimus, Swoop, and Mirage out of your mouth.

So don't buy your kids KO's? Does a teething kid really need a devastator set? I'm all for giving transformers to anyone of any age for the sake of getting them hooked on something that kicks ass, but that's a little overkill.

If my kids are young enough to be teething, which one of them is, I certainly wouldn't be buying him Chinese KO Transformers!! LOL

The possibility of lead aside, why would you also want to risk one of those chinese KO's breaking into small pieces that your kid may put in his mouth.

Parents who would consider giving a teething baby a chinese KO toy, are the reason we can't have prime with long stacks in the US :throw
