I don't need engineering help, I've been doing this for quite a few years now (keep in mind, this is a wip). Colors will be fixed at some point. Here's were you guys come in, does this look like any earth vehicle to you? I prefer it having to do with a bulldozer but I'm getting desperate.

If you're wondering which html code I used, just quote this post and view the code

Yellow one, top right of SQ7's first picture, looks like a bulldozer. Futuristic, cybertronian and lego-fied, but a bulldozer nonetheless.

The green one i have no idead what it's supposed to be. I see some sort of half-track vehicle (i only realised the triangle was supposed to be treads after seeing the bulldozer) but nothing close enough to a real vehicle to be distinguishable. :(

That's the point, I'm trying to:
    1. Fix the stupid treads. (which I have to have for certain reasons.)
    2. Find a way to make it look like an earth vehicle.
    3. Bulk up green's legs.
    4. Stop the inward incline of the bulldozer's legs, you know, cause the look ******ed.

I kinda suck at gestalts if you haven't noticed. :redface2:

Well, since i'm the guy who designed Chibi-Devs, and i also worked in LDD a long time ago, i guess i better chime in here.

Firstly, great attempt at a combiner. I'm sure it'll look great in the computer. The only catch is, i said "in the computer". I think we all heard the excuse (from Hasbro?) about their large ROTF Devastator's individual components not transforming, and that was due to weight and durability concerns. Well...same thing applies here. I don't think that those legos will hold a gestalt's weight. I was lucky, i designed Chibi-Devs in his style to make his gestalt mode work, and even then it's not the most sturdy combiner around (it holds up like any other combiner, but i wouldn't be waving a fan too hard at it). The complexity of each transformer is also worrying me, and i doubt that'll help the gestalt.

As for making it look like an earth vehicle, i'd actually say for the scale the yellow one isn't bad. The green one looks like a ball on wheels, though. I think it would be helped a lot if the parts weren't so...well, vibrant. In the render, it takes me ages to just to figure out what's going on, and given i deal in 3D designing, that's a slight issue. I doubt it's a problem with the actual build you have, just the pictures don't really show the build well. Perhaps a step by step transformation sequence is in order? I don't know how feasible that is in LDD, but i know it helped a lot of people appreciate my Kickback when i showed the transformation step-by-step. And it becomes easier to visualise what can be changed without affecting the transformation.

As for the treads...at the scale, i'd say that's the best you can do, since last i checked LDD doesn't allow technic parts. It doesn't look that bad, honestly. Just takes a while to get the idea, but once that light goes on in your head, it stays on. :)

    Still, i like what i see. :)

EDIT: Points 3 and 4 i don't think anyone can answer you without seeing the transformation. It's hard to tell you how to add or subtract parts when we don't know which parts are integral and which parts are just decoration.

Not to copy ROTF Devs, but I thought the stability problems could possibly be fixed with a dog or gorilla like stance. Still making tf pics.
