Who has bought the Legendary Voltron set and said "i'm totally making a group sitting pose" only to find out all of them can except the black one (or course the green and red ones with their heads but that's for another time). So to kick off what i am dubbing my series of upgrades as "Making A True Legendary" (and technically this is part 2 since my flame sword sleeve was the first one) i present to you sitting black lion... keep an eye out for easter eggs of future upgrades i will be posting. And now for how u can do it too! First you gotta open up the black lion. I caution you now if you want to save the electronics u need to be very careful once u pop the back off. the wires are small and delicate. get urself some electrical tape to tape up the wires so they are not all over the place. You need to remove ALL of the screws on the back except the 2 on the front in the silver area. I highly suggest u make note of which screw goes where. All screws in the black area need to be removed. There should be 9, 3 at the upper back (battery one does not count nor needs to be removed), 2 mid back, 2 lower back and 2 at the butt (tail needs to be down to see it). Do not do remove them from the legs. The back should pop off. Once the back pops off most likely he will blow apart into 3 sections, main body, back u removed and the bottom leg assembly. the leg assembly is what we are focused on here. u will see 2 tabs in the section i have highlighted in red. these 2 tabs are stopping your legs from rotating more than they do and are what you need to remove. using a grinding tool (i used a dremel with the cutting wheel) carefully cutoff and grind down the tab getting it as smooth and flush as possible. be careful not to cut into the assembly. the legs will separate from the middle shaft making it easier to do. when u are done you can rotate the legs enough to strike a sitting pose! for those of you that attempt this good luck.
Np and ty. i dont understand why they even bothered to do this. no point in hindering the leg movement
This might be obvious but the reason those tabs are there is so you don't spin the legs around a few times and yank the wires loose. So be sure not to rotate the legs all the way around!
good point. though i really cant see any normal child spinning the legs around like that. its not only unnatural to do it as a lion or as voltron but i cant see many kids taking any toy and just spinning the legs around cuz they can.
