Definitely sounds like it could be true. Although I think a viable options would be Prypiat. Very interesting place, it is. I think it would be amazing. Also the amusement park is pretty much uninhabited. Its a cool, yet creepy place in that it is very modern, yet abandoned. I think it was featured on something like life after people.

Yeah thats where I remembered it from. Life after People on History had went there and shown what it would look like in only 30 years if humans stopped taking care of the cosmetic needs of cities.

Sounds good to me. I was thinking that looked like the Pripyat level in Call of Duty 4.

Sorry if I missed it, but when did/does Optimus, Ironhide and Lennox go to the Ukraine?

Man, if these theories (this one and the one about the 1908 Siberian incident) turn out to be in the movie then, this one will be amazing... I love when they tie in actual events. It would make it that much more eerie to think that these events were caused by giant robotic ETs that have been under our noses all of these years.

Prypiat seems like a very plausible theory. Awesome ideas!

Maybe it's supposed to take place there but judging from the screenshot the wheels and not the same at all and the proximity to the building next to it is also an indication. Possibly they recreated this elsewhere or it's another place completely.

Very interesting, very possible and very cool theory you've got going on there. It would fit the timeframe, for sure.

    Great idea OP.

Again, I echo the props. What an awesome thing that would be to include in the script, the Decepticon base on earth set in a real life, historical, uninhabitable zone from a real life disaster.

Yeah, I can see the Chernobyl. I saw a show about it and there was a ferris wheel. And look at the ground.

This is the only one of the "speculation" threads that matters.

It's a black bird thing with red parts. Who else could it be? It even has the same nightmarish twist on the design as Ravage did.

Wow. Why in the hell didn't I notice this? :D  Normally I check every inch of footage ten times, at various speed settings, but I totally missed this one! Guess it was so well woven in, that I assumed it was Chicago as well.

Good job man. That is definitely not Chicago. The old ferris wheel reminds me of one level in Call of Duty Modern Warfare as well. Someone on these boards posted, not so long ago, that he had this theory about Shockwave being on earth already, also somewhere in the likes of Russia or something like that. Maybe that person was right? Sorry if this sounds a bit vague.

That would be cool if it was Chernobyl, but that isnt the ferris wheel from the same town in that pic.
I know a lot about Chernobyl and the house is way too close to it for a start, and there were no abandoned cars in that area either, especially not any Mercs.
