Nice clear pics of the Lawson's Exclusive Blackout. I must say though..I'm not digging it as much as the normal version. Granted, it looks good, but not as good as I thought it would.

 

Well, I think it looks really good. It would be nicer if the color was more of a dark grey.

 

He became an Autobot? And the Scorponok is the best part about it.

 

I think they just put the Autobot symbol on there like they did with a few testshots in the past. It won't really be an Autobot, it's just on there cuz it's a testshot.

It could easily be a prototype of the Lawson Blackout (this has happened with the Galaxy Force DVD figures), but I also can't help but wonder if, at the same time, this repaint is going to be another of the collector repaints from Hasbro.

I like some of the details on Blackout, even if they're not more accurate, but it's Scorponok that really shines, heh.

Only thing I remotely like about it is the scorponok and the markings on the tail.

 

Doesn't look that good to me, I don't regret keeping my original Blackout then..

 

wth, bright blue military helicopter? I'd have figured they'd make it dark, not bright blue of all things. The scorponok is the best part.

But not enough to buy another Blackout. Love the toy, I do, but I'm not big on two of the same mold, unless it's really stellar.

 

Eh. If all the robo-bits looked like the head it'd be exciting. As is, not so much.

What's with the Autobot symbol? Other than that, looks ok. Rather prefer a darker blue tone than the bright blue.

 

oh man thank god i do not like this or imo look that great at all. would have been a pain to try and get this guy, only thing close would have been BigBadToyStores $170 pre-order.

Hope Hasbro doesnt do it this way for the metallic premium line.

 

The premium line won't be all metallics, most likely. From Hasbro's site: "This collection of the best characters across Movie Deluxe, Voyager and Leader classes features premium deco treatments and finishes to create the ultimate movie figures", which says nothing about them all being metallic. Rather, it looks to be saying that the decos will be done to best suit the character. Ratchet and Megatron are only metallic because they *should* be to better match the movie.

I vastly prefer the first Blackout to this. But Reprolabels needs to offer that BLK-OT 4500X tail sticker, pronto.
