You may not realize this, but the VS Set Animated Prime is broken. Because that "battle damage" that looks like Black Lightning is just horrible. Love the mold, couldn't stand the damage apps. So I fixed him. I covered probably about 98% of the figure. Covered the red with Testors Guard Red, the blue with True Blue Pearl, the yellow with Yellow Chrome, and the silver and most of the grey with Silver Chrome. HOW TO MAKE TRANSFANS CRY: First, take a Classics Ultra Magnus and a City Commander upgrade kit. Doodble on the Magnus with Gundam Markers, and start trying to paint the CC kit to look like a Santa outfit! Next, realize the error of your ways, and take nail polish remover to it in an attempt to restore the toy to coolness. In doing so, take off all the original paint apps. YES! We're doing great. After that, decide to spray paint the whole thing (minus the guns) GOLD! I made my very own Lucky Draw! YAY! : But in all seriousness... The gold is a base coat to get the color scheme going. While he will remain predominantly gold, alot of black is going to be added for Magnus' upper arms and legs, and for some detailing. Might do some red detailing while I'm at it. Trying to decide if this will be Shining Magnus or a new home made character. Figured Christmas was long enough past that I could show off my present. Not sure how well the work will show in pics, but here goes. She spent alot of time carefully painting him the way I wanted it. And threw in some detailing of her own on the back with all the green lines. Basically, she shinied up the blue, the gold, the silver, and the red, using my WST Swoop as a color guide. Between the awesomeness of the figure, and her work on it, if Swoop is not my favorite TF toy, he's in the top five. I love my wife and her support of my hobby. ) My favorite mold turned into my favorite character? Brilliant!
