This thread is for talking about your most recent TV watchings.

Lately I've been watching a lot of stuff rented from the library.

Big Bang Theory - Watched the entire first season in a day. Sheer hilarity! I now have to buy these on DVD. I had passed on this series and never bothered to see it. Decided to give it a whirl. Glad I did!

Deep Space 9 - Watched the first season. I had never bothered with it before. Never been a big Trek fan. Liked TOS, TNG, and Enterprise. Glad I checked it out. Need to check out future seasons. Good stuff

Seaquest DSV - Watched the pilot. My god was it dull!! It tries to be Star Trek of the Seas. Sorry but it is hard to buy farming communities under the seas. I can see living on a planet with an atmosphere, but 1000 feet underwater?

Bob Newhart Show - Great series. Love Bob's uncomfortableness in various situations. Good stuff.

    TV

    - America's Got Talent - Been enjoying the season, for the most part, and Howie Mandel is a much better judge than I expected. However, I think it's dragged on too long; cutting out the YouTube and Wild Card shows would have helped, as they brought the momentum to a halt. Hoping that Fighting Gravity wins, wouldn't be choked up if Jackie Evancho or Prince Poppycock take the prize but Generic Male Pop Singer is generic, as the meme goes. Also hope that I never see one more ad/banner/pop-up for The Event, Undercovers or Chase (or Outlaw, to a lesser extent); already sick of those shows and they aren't even on yet...

    - MasterChef - AKA "Fox's Third Gordon Ramsey Vehicle". I don't mind it too much, but the early episodes spent too much time focusing on the contestants personal lives and the other two judges are basically useless non-entities. Been watching this on Hulu (it overlaps with AGT's results shows) and I don't so much 'watch' it as 'leave it on as background noise and keep tabs on what the completed dishes look like'.

    DVD

Just finished Daria: The Complete Series DVD collection a few days ago, after watching through ~1 season every weekend for the last month or so. One of the few series that is actually better than I remember it being, especially in the later seasons, which I hadn't seen before going through this collection.

Probably going to rewatch either Beast Wars or the original Evangelion anime as my next TV-on-DVD marathon. I also have ~150 episodes of the Japanese version of Iron Chef I downloaded that still need to be watched, as well.

I finished season 2 of The Wire a few weeks ago. Just been crazy busy lately so I haven't gotten around to season 3 yet (but I will!)

    Lilo and Stitch "Snafu".

Jesus Pleakly is so obviously gay, I wish they didn't end it with only 3 seasons.

Dragon's Den. I used to watch it all the time and then went totally off it for a long time, but now I'm back. It's one of those shows where you cringe during the terrible pitches and awful inventions and then shout at the telly when the idiots asking for investment are dithering over if to take a great offer or not.

Currently finishing off season six of the Sopranos. Watched 1-5 in the last month and a half. After that, moving on to Smallville as the 10th season gets ready to start.

Just finished the first Season of Lost. Wanted to watch it over now that it's ended but with the new TV season coming it might take some time to get to Season 2.
