Well it's that time of year again, it's New Year's Eve and we are ready to usher in a new year. In the interest of preserving a few memories to look back on down the road... "What was the last Transformer you got in 2009?"

And just out of curiosity... "What was the first Transformer you got to usher in the new year/decade? (After Midnight)"

The very last TF I got this year was the Voyager Class Galaxy Force (Cybertron) Starscream.

I've got a few packages I'm waiting on in the mail, so I guess only time will tell what my First TF will be in 2010... unless I stop by Walmart after work and by some miracle of luck find ROTF Dirge.

Last of 2009: Animated Wreck-Gar, he's still in the box

First of 2010: No idea. Only thing I've got ordered at the moment is Skids/Screech, but they're a while away. Probably be Ani SW, there's been some previously unseen Ani turning up over here recently.

 

last of '09 was battle damage animated prime - he was a total pain to find in the end, and anybody who thinks cybertron prime looks better is a big old ****.

first of '10 will be.. uuh.. dunno actually. depends which arrives first: WST shockwave, divebomb, skystalker, animated arcee or dark skyfire. and toxic oilslick if they bother releasing him.

Last of 2009: Target Exclusive ROTF the Fallen
First of 2010: Likely to be the Whirl/Bludgeon 2 pack from TRU. Subject to change

EDIT: First of 2010 ended up being ROTF Voyager Starscream.

 

Last of 2009 was Universe Powerglide for half off.

First of 2010 is a bit tricky since there are only a few things I'm looking forward to right now like Bludgeon and Animated Arcee. But then Universe Skyfall is also half off so I might have to cave in on that figure.

First of 10 - ROTF Ldr Jetfire (when it shows up)

 

The last TF of 2009 to arrive is the Animated Jetfire/Jetstorm two-pack. The first TF's of 2010 to arrive will be Alternators Prime, Alternators Skids, Alternity Silver Megatron, and Alternity Silver Convoy.

 

Last of '09 was ROTF Jolt, and first of '10 will be Cybertron Armorhide, Scrapmetal, and Hardtop.

 

First was Beast Machines Cheetor off ebay for a couple bucks. Seems like forever ago. Last was Animated Ultra Magnus and Universe Onslaught on sale at Walmart.

First of 2010: Hard to say as I put myself in the hole buying Nexus Prime...

Last: ROTF Bludgeon and Universe Silverbolt

First: No clue. Most likely Dirge, if I can scrape up a few more quarters.

 

First... I don't know for sure, but it may have been Universe Cyclonus. Last would have been Animated Swindle, who I got for Christmas and is an awesome little fellow. It was a good year, ushering in several molds that take top places for me for pretty much all time.

Sure, you think you've got it under control now - this isn't your first rodeo and you know a thing or two about ebay, but once you've had that first taste of animated you'll just keep going and going and going casting everything else aside in your furious all-consuming pursuit of the toys until that moment of clarity - when the plastic-lust's seductively bewildering mist clears for the briefest of moments - and you realise that you've cashed every favour, broken every rule, had your fingers burned one time too many and are reduced to sleeping rough in shopping precinct doorways. Broken and desperate, hoping to spot that elusive activators cliffjumper through a store window, prostituting yourself for hateful angry sex with unscrupulous stockroom staff on the promise of wave 1 deluxes and some fresh bruises in the morning. and you know what? it is so fucking worth it  

Alternatively: wait til the jap release and buy them off the internet I MIGHT HAVE BEEN DRINKING.

 

First was Universe Cyclonus. Last was ROTF Armourhide. Both great figures.  

 

I believe the last was eitger Encore Sky Lynx or Predacon Bruticus. The first hopefully will be ROTF Bludgeon.
