I was on Youtube and stumbled across this.
Pretty good for a kid version of Family Guy.
that was funny stuff right there for a cleaned up version for family guy!
i remember that! awesome!
That was pretty funny! I was also really surprised to see Quagmire in there. I wonder how this was not picked up into an animated series right then and there.
Funny how this kid-friendly cartoon turned into a sex and drug loaded show
Man, I had forgotten all about that one.
The airplane pilot even looked and sounded kinda like Quagmire.
"I know you've never flown a plane before, Ricky, but why don't you take the controls while I go in the back and grab a wee nip of the creature".
I din't see Quagmire.
I remember Larry and Steve from a LONG time ago. One of the better Cartoon Cartoons way back when too. Back then CN had a lot of good shows and even more good ideas. Though if it wasn't pointed out I doubt I'd ever have made the connection.
He wasted none of the material from his old old pilot in Family Guy.
Hahaha i remember this!
Here's a crappy version of the Family Guy pilot
OMG!!! I wonder how the heck they turned that into family guy apperently when thorugh alot of changes
Was Larry and Steve on Cartoon network at one time, I could have sworn I saw it during "What a Cartoon" or something like that.
Y'up it sadi it before it showed the actually cartoon
Wow, watching Family Guy S6 on DVD right now (arrived today so I'm having a marathon), it's interesting to see it's origins.
Yes,It did happend if you you sell the old CN Logo.
The character designs and characterizations for Steve and Larry leave me with the feeling Seth McFarlane was watching a lot of Wallace & Gromit before he "dreamt up" his new series.
Also, it surprises me that Family Guy hasn't made any jokes about this, since obscure gags about their own pilot would seem to be right up their alley. Maybe Cartoon Network owns the rights to "Larry and Steve", hence the character design and name changes for Family Guy.
It's funny based on how much of it made it into Family Guy.
Based on its own, however, it's pretty lame.
