Cool, I was up there snowboarding a couple weeks ago myself
Where did you go?
i just missed out on a snowboarding expidition up there a week back , my bro's hit up heavenly and said it lived up to it's name
Nice pictures. The little Drop is extremely cute!
Where did you stay drippy??? South Shore???
My family went up on Wednesday and are coming back on Friday... I wanted to go to but had to work...
I gotta say though, after going to Northstar, I don't think I'll be going anywhere else in Tahoe for the rest of my life...
Thanks! It's too bad he was sick the entire time. Next year will be better!
Neither my wife nor I like South Shore. At least when it comes to a place for a family vacation. We left Sat and came back yesterday (Wed). We stayed at the Tahoe Marina Lodge in Tahoe City (North Shore). I've been going to North Shore at least once every year of my entire life. I look forward to continuing the tradition for my kids. Well, swapping between Tahoe and Yosemite when they get a bit older.
Oh, I love Northstar. Alpine isn't too bad. Squaw Valley is quite nice. I hear Heavenly is the best but I've yet to make it over there. Perhaps when my kids are older and can ski/snowboard we'll hit up South Shore and Heavenly!
wow, does everyone go there? my girlfriend and her family are out there skiing right now. I'm back in boston watching their house and using their highspeed internets to download tons of...anime
I don't think I've ever been to the North Shore... My family loves buffets and gambling too much to leave the South Shore...
I've been to Heavenly... Three days after Sonny Bono died there... There was a huge snowstorm too... I remember I couldn't see anything at the top of the mountain... I think I will avoid Heavenly now...
Don't get me wrong, South Shore I'm sure is a ton of fun. But with little kids, an ideal family vacation for my wife and I includes puzzles, games, a fire, hot cocoa, walks on the beach, playing on the playground, sledding, etc. Not the buffets, fine dining, gambling, trendy shops, etc. That's more of an adult vacation. Speaking of adult vacations, I'm already planning my after tax season trip to Vegas. Yeah baby yeah!
When my kids are older, we'll hit up Heavenly for sure.
Speaking of tax season, I take it your are close to that time of year when you disappear for a few months???
Yup. Been ramped up since Dec 2005. I shouldn't have taken the time off as we're inundated...but then I remembered there's more to life than work.
