Not so much "movie" related, but he IS reading a script of some kind (TF: DOTM perhap?) while in Washington DC. I heard about it on the radio and immediately YouTubed it. Sure enough, it's true. I'll let the video explain it, but the gist is that he is reading, realizes paparazzi are after him, chases them, chucks coffee, and runs away! What a super douche!!!! What is it with these actors and their incessant need to be giant babies about everything. Granted, I think the Paparazzi should be outlawed, but still, throwing hot coffee (or cold tea, or whatever it is) at someone is uncool and grounds for a lawsuit nowadays. Way to go, moron. Ugh!!

YouTube - Shia LeBeouf throws coffee at papparazi!!

Beat me to it. :(  But yeah, I'm sure if the press and photographers were following the OP around and intruding his life he'd snap sooner or later. How's the view from the high horse?

Paparazzi = BULLET TO THE BRAIN, plain & simple

Certain Celebs are held in high standards that is true now just like it was when Hollywood was first starting, but nowadays the only way a celeb can live a semi-normal life is to either have a butt-load of personal bodyguards or just go off the grid somewhere in the world.

basic gist is he was trying to have a moment to himself & just do something normal folks do every day but those a**holes decided to hound him & not let him do the norm. so in order to let them know how he felt on the matter of them not giving him a couple of mins of piece of mind & personal time to himself he decided to let them have it, plain & simple

    100% Agree

Funny, I thought you had to be in relatively good shape to stalk celebrities.

You want to make it illegal to take someone's picture? I disagree. That's stomping on free speech, don't you think?

Vote with your dollar. if you don't like the results of paparazzi nastiness, don't buy the magazines, visit the sites or watch the TV shows that pay them to act like jerks.

And boycott that Lady Gaga song.

lol, hope beefshit gets sued >.>. I detest paparazzi too but, thats just dumb and wrong <.<

and @ everyone saying shia was in the right because its understandable... <.>

anyone and everyone has the option to walk away from a conflict, or anything at all. If you dont like something, walk away, plain and simple. He definitely forfeits his right to do so in assaulting the guy though. I would press charges on general principle if I was the scumbag

or old enough. but considering the youngest stalker was 15yrs-old when he started(currently 17yr & still doing it) you kind of throw all that you think about Paps right out the window

Not at all. I think they could have "deserved" it (see below for such cases), though I do not think he should have done it.

I don't think it should be illegal to take a photograph... unless said photos are at the cost of safety compromises. Paparazzi have been known to "do what it takes" to get the photo and actually go too far in some cases. In this particular case, it looks as if that was not happening, and looks as if the Paps were not that close to him. I think taking a photo in the moment is much different than stalking someone for photos.

I can see your point about free speech and can concede that I have no argument to discredit your statement.

This is my point. He was caught on tape assaulting someone for taking a photo, in which case they did not appear to be intrusive or causing safety concerns.

To see him chase the guy, expel the beverage, and split is childish. He had every right to pick his bags up and move to a new location. Major credit goes to him for at least trying to be out in public.

I posted the thread because I thought it was interesting and disappointing. Nothing more. Koom-Bay-ah!
