As I was browsing the Universe toyline, I found out that two series haven't had their share of representatives. The two are Beast Machines and Energon. I wonder if the Voyagers and Ultras for Wave 5 or 6 will have any thing for them.

I suggest the unused RID Megatron repaint for BM while repainting Cybertron Scorponok with G1 colors for Energon.

Aren't they like the two most unpopular series in TFdom?

Aside from that, they might be doing it in eras so that the BW Cheetor and Dinobot might also cover for Beast Machines while the Armada Hot Shot might cover the entire Unicron Trilogy. I'm probably wrong though. :p

I don't know about what's popular, but I thought the Energon line was pretty awesome. Every Decepticon was excellent. Yeah, most of the Autobots had significant flaws due to the awful gimmick, but they were still WAAAAY better than the Armada molds. I suppose the worst figures are the ones in the most need of do-overs in Universe though.

You're right that Beast Machines sucked. They don't need to bring anything from that line back. Some of the Vehicons were sorta cool, but not deserving of remakes.

If it were up to me, Hasbro could just ignore the Unicron trilogy and stick to Beast Wars and G1. Maybe they could make upgrades for the car brothers from RID, but the rest of that line was cool enough the first time around. All of the characters I liked from the Unicron trilogy don't really need to be remade either IMO.

    EDIT:

If you were talking about the cartoons being unpopular and not the toyline, as you probably were, then I can't really speak for Energon. I saw maybe two episodes of each series in the Unicron Trilogy, and I thought they were all pretty awful. The toys were another story :)

Energon will get covered when those combiners finally make it to retail over here in the US... kind of.

No, those two are representing G1- See packaging.

This Megatron toy will represent Beast Machines

Those who have the Cybertron version of Scorponok will notice that it is the only toy in the entire Unicron Trilogy that can accept a Mini-Con, Energon Star, and Planet Key (the three series respective power up gimmicks) all at once. For that, it should represent the animes.

A remake of Energon Downshift without the gimmick, (or with, I like it on certain figures like Downshift, and Tow-Line...) called Wheeljack would suit me.

Oh hell, any new Wheeljack would suit me, its been, what, 4 years since something that resembled him came out, and longer for something with his actual name, in America.

Well, there's always the Beast Machines Cheetor, Optimus Primal, Tankor and Jetstorm Robot Heroes, which fall under the Universe bracket. You're right about Energon, though...
