I find it a little worrying about how little they have talked about MP and especially Escalation. The fact that there are still so many questions left to be answered about mp such as killstreaks, perks, new game modes, and the money system is really unusual for a game this big, and it doesn't seems like we'll get many more answers before release. In addition I have found all of 2 videos showing off Escalation, the IGN and GameInformer. Really the only thing HM has talked about is Grimlock, OP, and Metroplex. From what I have seen in the past, a PR plan like this shows they are not very confident of the coop and mp modes in FOC. But what do you guys think?
Last time I checked wanting to know about how a game mode actually works isn't spoiling the game it's just wanting basic gameplay information. I didn't say really say anything about the single player did I?
Stop complaining/worrying with regards of esclation we already have the basic info -You have to survive 15 waves -Ammo is once per round -Restricted to four charectors but each has its own role -Doors are returning -Weapon buying is returning -There are traps on some maps -Same controls as campaign -Theres a random weapon buying thing
I think we got a lot of info for the multiplayer. Don't be one of 'those' gamers who think somethings up because they didn't get everything they ever wanted. There is no coop, btw. And they are very confident in their game, they wouldn't have a demo otherwise.
I'm in agreement with everyone else. We already have tons of information for the campaign, multiplayer, escalation, and character creation. Honestly, I think we have a bit too much information. I see a lot of new threads or posts from you everyday with worry about something new, whether it be something we know or something you wish we knew. I am honestly starting think you may have an anxiety disorder. Either that, or you really want to have a high post count here.
Also: Gamers can select their own difficulty--not everyone on the same team has to use the same setting. Weapons can be upgraded. The team healer cannot heal him-/herself. Host migration is in FOC. Dinobots and Insecticons are coming in a DLC pack. Each character now has ONE ability. No female chassis ...we know quite a bit about the MP side of the game...
At home, noting the difference between the coop the poster was thinking about and Escalation, which he mentioned separately.
But that's the point. Co-Op is just you cooperating with others in a level not primarily designed for multiplay.
Excuse me? The core game on the disc isn't co-op, but everything else on the game is. You can't have teams in competitive multiplayer if there isn't co-op, you know Escalation would be damn hard too if you couldn't have a team either. You don't recall Matt saying over and over how if you don't do your job the team dies? Co-op campaign-play is what was dropped from the series, not complete co-op play. While some modes in competitive multiplayer can be played solo should a gamer wish, many of the additional games require you to work with others to achieve victory
I agree that there is a lack of info so far BUT there is enough positive info being released that I'm far less concerned than a month ago. I'm very happy that campaign mode coverage has basically focused on the same stuff over and over. I'm almost certain there will be some big surprises in the game. If WFC was anything to go by, Metroplex and Bruticus will be have their own equals to deal with.
Ow ok but a lack of info can be good more surprises for later and over all we have got a load of information as long as you keep up with interviews you will know about it!
