i hate it when you are buying from another member but they dont communicate with you. like me for example i sent 10$ to a person that shall not be named a week ago tomorrow and during that time he is claiming he hasnt gotten the money. now i dont know to much about the mailing system but i live in NY and he lives in NJ, im sure it doesnt take 1 week for money to travel from Ny to jersey. IDK, am i crazy to think im getting played? post your stories.

    Sorry to hear that, man.

That's why I ONLY use Paypal.

You still might get ripped off on the product, but at least there's a record of your payment that way.

16 should be old enough to get either, but he'll probably need to get them to cosign or something, so yeah.

    Ebay:
there are banks that offer "educational" checking accounts for minors so that they learn fiscal responsibility.

    I had a checking account when i was 16.
even as old as I am, i really like using my debit card (that i use with PayPal) for my purchases.

if my debit card (account) is empty, i don't buy anything.
    that simple.

and tell your parents that it's extra secure to have your own debit card.

    sorry about the bad deal.

Crapshoot. I am dealing with some dude right now that said he was going to go through with a trade with me for a set of 2011 Botcon figures. I paid for the figures in advance to trade for something with this guy and recently having emailed him about it, he is ignoring me. I see that he is active on the forums but want to give him the benefit of the doubt for a little bit. I hope he is not an ass as I don't want to have to try and resell my bag set of figures.

This is why I always sent money orders with delivery confirmation before I got Paypal way back when. It's way too easy for the other guy to say "I never got it" then.

Definitely that way there's no denying that it was received.

Now to turn this around, what I hate are people who PM you about stuff in your sales thread and NEVER reply back after you took the time to send them a shipping quote. I don't care if you say "say no thanks that's too much" but the courtesy of a response would be nice.

Report it in the Junkion Exchange Feedback forum. Search for the member name first to see if there already is a thread existing, if not start a new one. If you don't get your item or if that person will not work something out with you, that's what I would do. People need to know so this won't happen to them.

When you send cash through the mail, fold a sheet of paper around the money so it can't be seen through the envelope. It also makes it look like a regular letter. I advice against sending cash, but if you have no other means, then do this if you have not been already. On the paper write a short note detailing what the money is for, who it is from (you), your mailing address (in case the person throws the envelope away), and a short "thank you" message because more writing on a folded piece of paper makes it harder to read when sealed in the envelope. I'm sorry that this happened to you.

Its New Jersey. That means that the postal service will ship your letter to Minnesota, then to Florida for processing, then send it to Albany, then back to your post office, before it finally ends up going to New Jersey.

Should be 7-10 weeks. Either that or the letter carrier was HUNGRY for cash. Sorry to hear. Next time use a money order.
