I'm surprised how a "news" website, in which you are forced to log in to see the news, makes any business or recieves any hits at all. I'd never check their site again.

Errr, I clicked on DISCUSS on the front page, but it took me to LA Times.
    Funky article.
I too predict TFs will be better than anything else.

Well Hasbro does seem to have cornered the market. They own the rights to all the big toy lines/movie. TFs, Fan4, Spidey, Star Wars, etc. They should be making big bucks I would think. My favorite line from the article, "Transformers are considered the ultimate boy toys that could also be a hit with dads who played with them when they were young." I bet that a big portion of the sales come from people my age (28) who loved these things as kids and really want to see what the movie is like, and then go buy the toys for their kids (and themselves of course).

    Um hells yeah brotha.

I liked both of those movies, but they still were disappointing and make me think the chances of TFs being the blockbuster of the summer are getting better and better.

Sorry but the Transformers movie toys are the winner here. The Spider-Man 3 toys sucked because well they were made by Hasbro and not ToyBiz and the Pirates toys well they just suck on their own except the ones you can buy at like Spencers Gifts.

    Of course TF's will win.
Being bought by children and adults alike, I have no kids yet have bought 11 T-formers toys in the last week.
Would've been more, but the wife seems to think paying bills is more important.

Because Hasbro made them?:throw  Did you forget how much the Toybiz SM1 and SM2 figures sucked? Though I admit that they would be better if they were six inches...:banghead:

oh the Transformers toys will do fine with us as collectors buying them, those ebay people that seem to like to grab it all of the shelves and reselll them, and the millons of kids who will be watching the movie. I mean i hear that hasbro has done well enough off of the transformers stuff even before the movie comes out

Spiderman toys might not even come close to making the cut. However I do see some of the pirate toys being a nice match against transformer toys, I should know, I bought the 16 inch Davy Jones toy, its bad ass, lots of detail, and movable parts. And I do see the optimus with the transtech idea making a nice splash, I went to K.B. toys yesterday and he was bought out. :cry

ToyBiz's SM figures were quite good. Better than Hasbro's SM3. Ick.
