Looks awesome. But am I correct to believe the gameplay will be like GTA or RDR? I tend to pass on games like those.

Probably, but with each new game they create, the Story Aspect becomes tighter and better-told. So that if you play it straight, it can pretty much play like an awesome adventure game.

i knew this was gonna happen after rdr, and it's what was needed to make the gta series fresh. GTA: cowboys was the bomb yo.

It's not a Rockstar game, just Rockstar published. This is being made by a good portion of the old Getaway team, with the same Director in charge.

    It's not "GTA: Tommy Guns".

Possibly. The facial animation technology supposedly drives the gameplay when interrogating suspects.

From what I heard: Nope, not at all. There is a slight open world aspect, but the focus is 100% on the story and gameplay, and it's much more like an updated point and click adventure game (best term I can think of to describe it) where you go looking for clues and try to solve cases. The preview I read on it makes it sound terrific, and I can't wait to see how it'll play out.

What I was going to say.

They used some real world cases in this to try to make it as real as possible, and it's all about reading things into people via interviews. Tere will be some action, but it's not the focus of the game.

I can't wait, I love adventure/mystery games, but they've been stuck in a rut (point and click/ hidden object)for the past decade, and I'm glad people are trying things with the genre. Fresh out of Amnesia: The Dark Descent (which does the whole point and click thing wonderfully organically) I'm back waiting for this. :D  It's been a long time coming - and with Rockstar, that's usually a good sign.

I also love film noir, so this is a bonus. I might try a playthrough in black and white. :D

That's because the game went seriously under the radar for like a year, maybe even more. I'm surprised it's coming Spring of 2011.
