Never seen these shoots mabye this should be front paged? Hey got any Steel Jaw pics?
Kind of reminds me of JizaiToys stuff.
I like this take on Kup a lot... a scrawny, wily old coot!
amazing stuff bro i defo want one
like that he comes with energon goodies.
Wow. Even if it's just a really nice custom, it looks like a professionally molded figure.
286 bucks! cool but no thanks
VERY nice, I wish Hasbro had given us this design...
268 is the price in yuan, so that would be about $42 dollars which isnt too bad
i like it alot
my bad, stupid google translator! thats not to bad
Excellent work! I personally love the design and work that you put into this. The only things I would fix are the elongated head and maybe shorten the torso a bit. Other than that, the bot and alt modes both look great and the design and build are nearly perfect.
I know there are those that love the Kup we already got, but I feel if the head and torso were tweaked a bit and this Kup was released (instead of the one we got), we'd all be going crazy to get one.
Sign me up as a fan. I love to see an engineering madman at work.
Quite amusing the difference in reactions between this being posted in the Toy forum and being posted here.
I agree! It's due to the fact that we (as Radicons) know the hard work that was put into this, whether we want it or not. We appreciate the engineering and design. We just know the amount of planning and hard work that goes into creating something like this from the ground up.
The guys over in the toy forum (not all, but most) simply don't see what we see in terms of design and scratchbuilding. I personally do a lot of kitbashing, designing, and scratchbuilding, but not on the level that this Kup was done at.
The toy forum guys are attacking it because they already have their "official" Kup. Fine, so be it. But I can't stand the negativity, especially when these guys can't take 5 seconds to explain exactly why they feel the way they do AND what could be done to improve upon the points they feel are crap. With them, it's all "I have my official Kup, why the hell do I need this?!" With us, we instantly know exactly what amount of time and work that was put into this (give or take). The toy forum guys are similar to the guys that typically want to commission something from one of us, yet they barely want to pay over retail for insane designing and scratchbuilding. They just don't understand the level of building and design that is put into something like this.
The sad thing is, if this custom/3rd party Kup were released at retail instead of the official Generations Kup we got, everyone would have been all over it and loving it. As I mentioned, I think this is great, but I think the head at least needs a bit of a fix (it's just too elongated). Other than that, it IS Kup.....the Kup we grew up with, with a bit of the toon, G1 toy, and IDW comics look all mixed in. I just think others are content with the Kup they got and are happy sticking with it.......but if this were sitting on shelves right now at $12, those same guys calling it crap would be the ones snapping them up.
Well said Brian, very well said.
i was not at all happy when we saw hasbro/tak's rendetion of an updated Kup.
i would have much rather a more g1ish altmode (like this). having built some stuff that's mostly scratch. i have huge respect for this guy, as far as design and engineering goes. its truely awesome what he has accomplished, but the head and the long torso kinda bother me. but they maybe a by-product of the alt mode/transformation and if it works it works
kudo's man thats all i can say
