I'll never understand fans and fanboys. Anyway, I like Masterpiece toys. Thank you. lol. A smaller one yet cheaper version would be awesome.

Go to the MP Speculation thread. A lot of hints and "news" was given there in the past few days...even some encore news that I know a bunch will orgasm over.

P.S. The MP line (with Alts) is one of my Favorite lines too. But I adore the larger scale bots that come with a ton of detail and complex transformations.

I dunno about everyone else, but the lower portion of his body in bot mode to me is disproportionate to the rest of his body. His arms seem kinda scrawny and his face/head overall does not scream "Kup" to me. His alt mode does. And the thread in the radicons forums mentions that this thing will be $42.00. Not sure if that's US dollars or not. But either way that made it even MORE of a pass for me. Generations Kup is $12. I-Gear's Kup head is $15 and ya get two heads. You get two generations Kups to utilize both heads and that's $39 total. At $39 you get two awesome looking Kups that smash the aesthetics of this $42...uhhh.....thing....(to be nice). Or you just can spend $27 on one Kup, and one I-Gear head set and interchange them as you please.

In short, to me, this Kup is fugly. My opinion, and I stand by it.

I only mentioned that cause its seems that other people, fans and fanboys alike, don't like true g1 articulated toys. I'm suppose to be the one with weird taste. lol I'm just picky with my 3rd party stuff.

This thing gives me the same impression as the two 3rd party Arcees. That is, trying to look really, really G1. Which is fine, but there's no place for that in my Classics collection.

I didn't say your taste was weird. I said your taste isn't in line with most collectors who collects classics, and no one said there was a problem with it, either. You seems to like Geewun to the dot(slavish articulated G1), and that's fine. That's not my cup of tea, and it seems like its not many people's cup either.

I'm more intrigued by how far will 3rd party products go to try and cater the fandom's tastes. Its too Geewun. Its not Geewun enough. Munky. Truck. lol I see this one for what it is. Articulated G1. I hope to see more. I like my classics for what they are and I'm curious and interested to where the 3rd party industry is heading.

I like it! I am bias because it's Kup but, I love the range of motion and poses! I would so mash one with the Generations one, to make super Kup!

I think most people are "seeing it for what it is". It's just that "what it is" isn't what they want, that's all. And you are saying "what it is" is something you like, that's all.

The page has an awesome Steeljaw on it that will generate a ton more love and excitement than this Kup.

Yikes, some of you thumb breathers are so ridiculously selfish it's scary.

I think it's a very cool original piece, and interesting for sure. The progress of quality on these projects keeps getting better with each one, excited to see more of your work down the road.

I'm kind of surprised you say that to be honest... your amazing customs are toon inspired and well proportioned so you must have a good eye; look at the character line art handily included - the figure just doesn't capture the curves or the body shape at all. Sure the general design leans towards the G1 animation, but it falls considerably short of being 'spot-on' (like others have said, 'articulated G1 toy' is probably the most accurate description). And the alt mode's front wheels are skewed awkwardly inwards; G1 Kup had a better alt mode! (although G1 Kup ties for fugly bot mode, I admit).

I find the two G1 Arcees are more different than people realise at first glance. This Kup feels a lot like the Impossible Toys Arcee (trying to be G1 but falling somewhere between clunky toy and inaccurate animation model).

The MGT Arcee is actually rather a lot closer to screen-accurate. I'd love to see Kup, Blurr, Springer etc done in that same MGT G1 movie style.
