So I got Kup and Perceptor and was like all "meh" with Perceptor and mostly "Woo!" with Kup, but any fool could see they needed a little work, so I did a little, here's the results:

Here's Kup in Robot mode, I kept the paint subtle, it's all in the shading, and washing, and brushing, but man, look at that wimpy gun...

BOOM! SAY HELLO TO MY LEETLE FRIEND!

I put a bit of Headphone wire out the back of the gun so that it can clip to Kup's backpack... honestly, I was watching Ghostbusters at the time, and thought it looks great.

In car-ode the painting was deliberately limited to shading, a wet-brush on the wheels and a quick wash of the grille, I wanted to keep it clean and new looking in contrast to the bot mode.

The Big-Bang gun can attach in car-mode, just needs a Minicon to ride in the back to shoot.

I had to put a wash on the face in an attempt to save it, but it wasn't until I painted his dome to match his face did he even START to look acceptable, he still looks really confused though :(  You can see the dirtying up I did on his chest-piece in this one.

Perceptor here got a very harsh review, and I've sort of reconsidered it now, he's a better figure than I thought, pulling his legs out just a little further makes him much better at posing by making his knees work.

In this pic you can see him working in his day job with his Scienceulator, and realising he's a good design let down by paint aps. He had a LOT of panel lining to get him to this point.

Silly Perceptor, you can't use SCIENCE to make that bed!

Uh-oh, IT'S ACTION TIME! Perceptor grabs his blaster and goes to work!

LOOK HE DOES HAVE KNEES! also, an attempt at mood lighting.

I dirtied down the vehicle mode, just washes of blacks and browns and purples, and it just liiks like it needs a car wash in pictures.

It looks better than clean though!

I washed that face as best as I could but he still looks like he turns into a short bus. The reason for this is his eyes, not the size, but how DEEP in the head they are, theres a 4/5mm of wasted depth there, I'm gonna have to work out how to fix it.

So there y'go repaints! All I need now is Kapow to get my Protector armour out and I can rearange my shelves! WOO!

You've made some nice little touches here; it's amazing how much a paintwash can help bring out the details.
Of course, now I want a Scienceulator. I don't know what it is, but I want one.

I kinda think a puny human's spine would shatter if one tried to fire it...

It came from some Halo:Reach figure and got tarted up with some parts from the bitzbox.

"Duh" indeed. I feel so stupid now. :dunce

To be honest, it looks to me like a giant (or tiny, depending your concept of scale) remote control.
Hmm. And I know a discount shop nearby that sells giant remotes. Maybe I could repurpose one of those as a Scienceulator... ;)

It came from a big bag of bits I got from a car-boot sale, but I think it IS a remote control, possibly Barbie?

Looking at it more intently... I think I could convert it into a nice looking "Sliders" timer device... hmmmm...
