They really worth getting? Went back a few pages, couldn't find a similar thread, though I'm sure theres one out there, so I'm sorry bout that. Just wanted a few opinions, those things can be expensive.

EDIT:: Also, if you could pick one to start with, that would be great

I've never been a Lego guy, I've never been into building models ...

I have all of the Kre-Os. They are awesome!

I've always been a big fan of LEGOS, though I've never really been one for disassembling them, which is my hesitation.

I don't mind it and in fact I rarely do it. Most of these things are better in one mode in comparison to the other. I typically build the set into one mode and keep it. If it's a rainy day I'll tear it apart and build again.

Hmm. I would say one of the smaller sets like jazz.

    I'm a big fan of the kre-ons!

My personal favorite is the $59.99 Optimus Prime with trailer, but he is pricey (well worth it though). I say try out a middle of the road character: Bumblebee and Ratchet are two of the best IMO.

Huge lifelong Lego fan here, Kre-O's are awesome IMO. I have had Mirage for about a month and picked up Jazz today. I plan on getting them all eventually.

They must be selling well because this is at least the third re-stock at my local TRU. They were fresh out of Jazz the last time I was there as well as a lot of the smaller sets.
Still can't find Bumblebee, he is always sold out when I go there.

I bought a few just for the Kreons, but actually think the big figures are pretty decent. I only have Sentinal, Prowl, and Mirage right now (with Big Prime on the way). I really like the cars for Mirage and Prowl, but havent built them as bots. They are almost worth it for the Kreons alone.

I will say the stickers aren't the greatest though, if I have one small complaint about them. The faction symbol on Mirage was a complete joke, I ended up using a ReproLabel autobot symbol on it.

To answer your question: start with Jazz, I really like him. COOL kreon with that one!

I presonally love the kre-o sets. My advice is to buy the cheapest one to see if you like the process, then go from there.

I loved Lego's as a kid and never played with them since then, but the little Transformers Kreons that come with the Kre-O sets were too cool for me to pass up and I bought them all just for the Kreons.

I planned on putting the Kre-O sets away in storage, but last night I had some time and decided to build the Optimus Prime w/ the trailer... INSTANT KRE-O FAN!

I had fun putting it together and it took me back to my youth.

Now, I plan to keep them all and look forward to future releases.

I would highly recommend you starting with the Optimus Prime w/ the trailer and go from there. :thumb

I love them. I got basic BB, Jazz, Mirage, Sideswipe, Ratchet, Megatron, and Big Prime.

For a good starter I'd suggest Jazz and basic BB. Jazz if you want a Kreon, but basic BB is great as well.

Big Prime is Awesome btw. He is a bit pricey to be the first purchase.

Jazz had extra pieces too... do any of them use every piece in both modes?

No, not that I know of (maybe the two tiny sets).

I see that you're a fan. You getting these for the sets or the Kreons (or both)? If it's for the sets/both, then you should definitely get Ratchet/Sideswipe (I prefer Ratchet) or the larger Bumblebee. I prefer the small Bumblebee but the large one is really cool.
