They look better, there's more of then, and they have far more playability in either mode.

Buy 2, save yourself the hassle. /sarcasm.

I absolutely love this Kre-O releases. I was hesitant at first, but I picked myself up a Jazz one, and I'm going back to buy more. I just love these because, you don't have to stick to the plans. I can make the Jazz or Optimus or whoever, I've always dreamed of. I'm looking for another Jazz figure so I can get some more silver pieces and ball joints and make the best possible Kre-O robot mode possible. And with leftover pieces, I might try and make his Alt mode as well.

Kre-O is awesome. The headsculpt on the Kreo-O Optimus Prime is one of my favourite OP headsculpts ever.

They're not all great, but I checked out youtube reviews before I bought mine. I'm more excited to put together my more recent purchase though :p

I'll probably pick up that big ass Optimus one, but since he's over 500 pieces, I kinda want to do what Peaugh did and buy two. Sigh.... lol

They are building block toys before anything else. They do transform, but by assembling them differently. That's kinda what building block toys should do.

If they transformed, they might look good in one mode, and rubbish in the other. By not Transforming, they look great in both modes. They're poseable, fun, and durable.

    I don't agree.

I bought 2 Kre-o sets yesterday and I'm going to make them transformable.

It does say "Works with Leading Brands" on the packages and the quality is about equal to Lego, so yes.

fully transformable and you don't see much of the connections points. it looks flush.

I agree with you here, I've seen Cars 2 & Pirates of Carr. sponsored by Lego which is cool. Wish TF's would of been like that as well but yet again, we probably would have to pay more money. The current prices for Kre-O would not be the same for Lego. I've seen some of the Lego's reach up to the $200.00 mark! Ouch..

Yea, that would be the only problem. But I really like Lego's engineering and design templates, especially with the Technic and Bionicle/Hero Factory lines.

I bet if Lego would of picked up on the BIG Optimus Prime set w/ over 500 pieces, 5 Kreons, 2 Motorcycles, no stickers, everything painted on the Lego, & with 3 modes!, I can say for a fact with Lego that would cost at least over the $100-$150 mark..

I've seen their city sets reaching $120-$130 and the smaller sets around the price of the BIG Optimus Prime Kre-O...

I guess we can take that into consideration..

My guess is if Hasbro did partner with LEGO, there'd be a pretty big fee to pay to be part of LEGO's branding.

As well, there'd probably be alot of back-and-forth over who gets how much of the profits.

Though I was thinking the other day about DOTM-style playsets featuring human characters.

    Imagine sets like this:

*Sam & Carly in trouble* - comes with KRE-O Soundwave and Laserbeak, and figures of Sam, Carly, and Dylan.

*Family Meeting* - KRE-O mobile home/car with Sam and his parents.

*Pillar Fight* - Sam and Dylan fighting on the crumbled remains of part of the building.

Though anyone else wonder what a Technic-style Drillbot would look like? I'd love some kind of spinning mechanism that would make it rotate as you moved it along the floor.

If they were Legos I would be all over them, I still kind of want them though.
I wouldn't bother with the robot modes though, the minifigs would be riding their car-selves. Or possibly riding other characters cars if I was feeling naughty.

Kre-o's are amazing!!! The Krions are awesome! I wish they would make blind packs for the little guys so I could get all of them. But let me not forget how awesome the big guys are too! If you don't like the way it is you can change it the way you like!
