Hasbro has force KOToys to go out of business by the end of the year. Hope I am not starting a shit storm here by letting people know. I am wondering how far fetched would this go in terms of the manufacturers like CHMS or would Hasbro go after 3rd party. Bought one KO from KOToys before (KO Deep Cover) and never again. Just didn't like the plastic. Service was okay.

This is old news. The other thread got closed down, don't be surprised when this one doesn't go well.

Nothing, it just gave me a hell of a chuckle thinking that he needed to show proof. Victem of late night goofyness.

Honestly, I'm glad you posted it, because it gave me a really random laugh too. Kudos for that.

Where is the confirmation that Hasbro was involved?

Well there was the Australian dude on Seibertron's KOtoys closing thread who claimed to have found out their IP host was based in the states...so he, being the nice cheddar eater, dropped the dime to Hasbro. I don't care about the ethics of the site, etc... but narc-ing someone out just to do it is bullshit..unless it's a life or death situation or children are involved. Being a hero for notoriety's sake is just lame.

Yeah, but I I don't take some random person making grandiose statements on the internet as confirmation. It may just be the professional journalist in me. Hopefully it can eventually be cleared.

Oh I agree Yop. The nosy wannabe detective in me wants to know, I honestly couldn't care less... but it's an intriguing mystery lol. There's definitely "more than meets the eye" to this. (couldn't resist the ******edly bad pun)

It could be something as simple as Takara/Hasbro managed to "convince" the authorities in China to actually enforce international copyright law by paying the appropriate "Filing fees" to the right people.

Honestly though, I seriously doubt that we will every hear the truth about what happened from a reliable source.
