Glad you guys are getting the YM Bb7 starscreams in hand from my suppliers. I am pretty happy with how he looks but I've got so many starscreams now, it ain't funny at all.

Plus he is a bulky figure to display and store.

Some more updates on new seekers coming. I finally got around as well to transforming my TW Coneheads trio and in bot mode, I gotta say the glossy paint is just too impressive.

I do love my ym set of seekers and Coneheads, but the TW set definitely brings something else to the table...

 

Wow those faces are kind of hideous. How very Toyworld of them  

 

I used Q-tips and 91% Isopropyl Alchohol for the first null ray...took forever. I then filled a shallow measuring cup and dipped the end in it and swirled it around for a bit, then spun in around in paper towel on the second...much quicker. The biggest pain on the ass is the tiny recessed rings and the tiny spots where the sprues are. I probably have a bit to finish off perfectly, but at least you get the idea. Lovin' it.

 

Nice group shot. Megatron doesn't look too happy with Starscream. Who makes that giant Devastator? Looks cool! And HUGE!

i think i saw one review on it. idk if anyone got the thundercracker one but the starscream was crap

 

Wasn't the best quality for MP11T KO. A bit hazy on the memory but watched this a while back and decided against the Takara KO.

 

They do suffer a bit from kissy face/fish face but I still don't mind them as the nice glossy paint and imposing size kind of do it for me.

Close up though, the ym faces are better (although I think there is room for improvement on all seeker heads). I think my favourite is the robot Hero OS starscream smirking face. That one is dead on!

From the reviews I remember, the Takara box KO of Starscream was horrible. Loose and floppy. I'd guess the Thundercracker would be the same story just in blue. Not sure why one would go that route when YM does the job pretty well.

My suppliers have been sold out of the bb7 Tc and sw for awhile but I've seen them in eBay as well if anyone is still looking. Still have all the ym bb7 Coneheads and the new ym stuff being released plus most of the kbb versions if you're looking for that.

Thanks, just watched it but it doesn't seem that bad. All the negatives are exactly whats wrong with MP 11 in the first place.

 

YM is definitely the way to go if you want good qc.

 

I haven't seen this mentioned and probably missed it, but it's worth noting that the dry rub decals that come with YM-03 do not have the silver line around the logo like the rest of them had, making it match TT insignias.

 

Yea, well spotted. Reason might have been because of YM Starscream's light grey.

 

I think I'd like the straight purple ones for a lot of my bots as far as toon accuracy goes. Contacted rub, but can't get these individually, only the silver trim.

 

Hope he can eventually. And more skywarps and thundercrackers
