I'm still going to get the YM SS to scratch the itch, but Fanstoys and Maketoys are just bringing it and I can't wait to get my hands on their new figs. I've pretty much decides I get official, MT or FT exclusively, but I've got some XTB like Cyclonus and Scourge. They are great, but I guarantee he FT will be better and replacing my XTB when they come out in 4-6 years.

 

I'm looking forward to FT's Berserk. KFC's Ditka is too much of a qc gamble.

 

Not a fan of them going full toon style. Looks too simple.

Then YM should be good for you. I think the MT sculpt looks awesome, but I like toon. The outside of the legs appear to have the fins hidden and he's got a little heft to him overall. It would be a dream if the back cleaned anywhere as nice as Despotron in bot mode. One of MT's best assets is their transformations. Chrome dome (Cupola) is genius and looks phenomenal. To me, this reveal is a game changer for seekers, I just wish they'd have kicked out a few more headmasters besides Chromedome and Hardhead.

 

does anyone have a gap issue in the shoulders like in this picture with their yes model starscream? mine is actually worse than what is shown in this picture.

 

I'd guess your back piece is not all the way down on the peg on his lower back. I had this with TC and Skywarp. It helps to open the canopy and use your finger from the front and back to work it down all the way down that peg so it's completely covered.

I do like most of the tweaks that KBB have made with their Coneheads but I really like the TT design for the torso/fuselage section. Reintroducing the peg to keep the jet nose from flopping around in bot mode with the addition of a sliding mechanism so that the nose could collapse closer to the back would work wonders.

 

Am I missing something, how expensive are people expecting MT SS to be? Isn't their Megatron only $150? Why are some people quoting a potential price of twice what YM SS is?

 

Dont force it. Check the pin joint in the shoulder under where the intakes are meant to sit for stress marks.

 

Mean while, with the official Takara...........

Got Starscream from TF-Direct this week and OMG I am blown away by how awesome he is. Thanks to Bots and Bits for recommending the Yes Model seekers. The last MP Seeker I ever owned was the very first Takara release Starscream years ago who broke instantly with his abs snapping. This guy is a massive improvement and for someone who hasn't done the whole MP Seeker line over and over, I'm now looking forward to getting all the others by Yes Model.

 

Wow, I just lucked out! I was planning on getting a KBB SS and a TT KO (the really bad quality ones) and mixing certain bits so that I could have a decent quality TT coloured KO SS.

Ordered both from ebay, and the KBB looks to be a scammer so I'll be getting my money back sooner or later. Figured I'd wait and see how the poor KO turns out before placing another order on a KBB and just as well... somehow my poor quality TT KO isn't really that different from my BB7. I mean, you can definitely feel the difference, but he's stiff enough in most places. Only issues are some fairly loose joints on lower leg extensions and one wing (they wont move untouched though), but the only real loose part, is his waist, which I have the same problem with my BB7 Thundercracker anyway.

As far as MP11 goes, this will be my Screamer all on his own.

 

I agree, I am also waiting for a ko of the Takara flip cockpit coneheads. I still have iGear coneheads and being based on modded mp-3 molds they suit me better then mp-11 based ones... now I would love to snag a set of coronation gear for my Traitor though.

 

Got Starscream today and damnit... Glue time and I have complained to Smartlulup.

 

I already have the modifications floating around in my head on how to "fix" the "flip cockpit coneheads," I just need to get my hands on those particular parts in order to do it and I'd prefer not to overpay for the Takara coneheads in order to modify them. I cheaper KO would be perfect for this.

 

Damn. Sorry to see that happen to you. Is that a KBB?
