Don't let these not great pics dissuade you. I have all 5 of their others and they are more solid and high quality than most things out there. the only slight niggle I have with one of them is my Thundercracker has an ugly sprue mark, but it's not visible by any means. Yesmodel have made this mould work, and work well.

I'm in the same boat. If it ain't broke don't fix it. The KBB version while in the colors I like isn't an option for me because I want the YM mold. I feel like if I get YM-03 now, I'll be forced to double dip when YM does Starscream in the Takara MP11 colors later on. I wish I had a crystal ball.

I've asked the same questions. It is also the same reason I decided to skip the oversized KO.

I'm guessing the first thing a lot of people, including me, will try to do is see if it's easily removable.

Bet a little paint thinner would take it right off. Not sure if it would harm or discolor the plastic though.

Neither am I. Besides I'm not sure who is willing to use their YM-03 null rays as the test subject. Even if the test damages the paint underneath, it's not like spare replacement null rays can be acquired.

Try 91% isopropyl alcohol, it should not damage the plastic and you can soak the tip of the null ray in it.

YM Starscream was waiting on my porch when I got home from Rub/Show Z, just opened up the box and he looks great in jet mode. The black-tipped null rays look good in jet-mode and match the missiles but me no likey in bot mode. I thought I would dislike the interior intake silver and orange coloring more than I actually do.

Have you transformed it a couple times yet? How is the build quality?

Working on it now, I guarantee I'm the suckiest at transforming the seekers. I have YM TC and SW, but only had to transform TC as SW came in bot mode. Starscream joints are very tight and hold in place. having trouble extending one of his legs as it seems to require more force than I'm comfortable applying. Maybe that's why that earlier pic of one was shattered. I'm trying to delicately work it out but it's in there good.

Update: Left leg was stuck so bad I was pulling with way more strength than should be necessary. Had dents and impressions all over my fingers from the plastic. I finally got the left leg out but it required so much force I accidentally broke a fin tip. Was kind of pissed at first but I glued it back on. Other than the leg being too tight, the only other "issues" would be nitpicky - his left chest intake missile cap was loose and so was the hinge that flipped his left wing up and back to the behind the torso position. A little future fixed both.

I like that they're doing one based on the MP-03 color scheme. Kind of want one of these companies to make a KO based on the iGear Sunstorm orange and cream color scheme.

Got my YM03 today and he's fantastic, probably the best quality of the 3 YM seekers.

The panel lining is gorgeous too, and he doesn't look out of place with SW and TC because they're darker anyway so the lining wouldnt be as prominent. The only place it kind of sucks is the back of one of his legs where there's kind of a dark swirl of it up against a mold line. It's not visible when he's in bot mode and in alt mode he looks nice enough that it doesn't detract too much from the whole package.

His base is also a slightly lighter coloured plastic to the other two but that's not a big deal for me either since they're displayed behind him on risers so it doesn't matter with them not being level.

Coronation kit is all really nice too.

Black tipped null rays don't bother me, my seeker trio is finally complete and I'm too satisfied with that to be down on it :D

Paint on the back of that leg looks messed up. Did it come like that, or is it from trying to transform?
