There was a repaint of Defensor named 'Guard City' -> Guard City - Transformers Wiki and he was red chested. So most likely, the KO WST Defensor is based on him?

It seems consistent with the KO WST Bruticus being based off of Guard City's nemisis Battle Gaia. -> Battle Gaia - Transformers Wiki.

That still doesn't explain why the WST Menasor consists of two technobots - maybe there's a transformers continuity behind that too :lol

In case you've never seen a WST Defensor, Bruticus or Menasor:

Crap. Now I want to get a Baldigus (D-011) and Battle Gaia (TF-10) to go with my Bruticus.

I don't think these are 'based' on anything. They're downsized version of random shitty KOs that used to show up in Walmart Easter baskets and the like- not made with any particular love or care for the TF franchise.

Yes, and the easter basker Combaticons were based on Baldigus' deco, because they ripped it off from Car Robots.
