WOW! Just when you thought you've seen it all...
Presenting the Vii
Ummm, first and foremost wrong forum. This should go in Games & Anime.
Secondly, WTH is it? Is the Vii a Wii knockoff?
looks like it, looks like it might be made by the guys who made the popstation.
So what's the deal? Does it play Wii games or come with it's own special Vii games?
But is it pronounced like the letter V, or like Vie, like trying to VIE for your attention over the Wii (WEEEEEEE!).
Couldn't resist the pun potential.
Wow that's great that it has a power supply and AV cables, but what the hell is it?
Hmmm, I'm sure this will sound like a stupid idea to everyone, but I wish they'd release a skimmed down version of the Wii. I wish they'd make a Wii that was designed only for Virtual Console games, with no Wii game playability. It would be like a 50 dollar console, and sold at a loss of profit. It would naturally come with Super Mario 1, 2, 2 JPN, 3, World, and 64. There would be no real Wiimote use, as it would work more like a wireless NES controller. The system itself would have a slot for classic pads (NES, SNES, N64 built into the system). I think the system would make a killing, even if Nintendo didn't make any profit off the hardware. It would also be a system that has the largest library, and would get more (new) good games each week then the current systems.
Um, how does this play games? Is there a cd drive somewhere or does it use pixie dust and good feelings to play the cd?
I think it has some kind of all inclusive built in game system. Doesn't look like you put any kind of disc/cartridge in it, unless you can fit gameboy advanced cartridges into that black slot in the front? I dunno
I forget where I was, I think Walmart, there were these hand held games, that had little screens on top of an identical replica of the Wii controller. They were motion sensitive as well, there was a bowling game, and I forget what else.
Regarding the video: Someone buy that poor fucker a tripod. Poor guy looks like a one-armed gimp.
Here are what the games look like.
I need one.
Wait. People from Hong Kong are making knock offs?
This is shocking news.
Fry Egg for Game of the Year!
Speaking about Nintendo Knock-offs, I've been thinking about getting one of these:
They have a bunch of them at my local GameCrazy for $50, and a set of the wireless controllers for $40. I feel like getting SMB3 out of my parent’s attic and see if it still plays.
SMB3 is on the VC of Wii now, so $5 and you won't need to use a separate console *L*
I'm just saying that Nintendo could tap into the market of creating a system that exists simply for retro gaming and earning money off that. I am sure there are a lot of older gamers that love the idea of the Virtual Console that don't necessarily care about all the new fangled features. Though I guess it would take away one of the big selling points for the Wii if such a console was available.
it would. besides there's some quick and simple games on the Wii that you can just pick-up and play and set back down with no need to save or need hours on end or anything, like the pack-in Wii Sports, or Take2's Table Tennis, the upcoming Link's Crossbow Training (like a suped up duck hunt)
Alight, I wouldn't mind a game of Frey Egg
i saw an imitation wii remote at superstore the other day that played a little lcd baseball game.
