    Hey guys,

I received my A&L Metals Transform bootleg white Binaltech AL-02C Lambor today (what a mouthful, eh?). I've opened it up and taken a few pictures for those who may be interested.

    Box front:

Again, the packaging is blue as this is not a fake of a BT colour scheme. This is a scheme entirely of A&L's own design and hence no grey BT-style colour to the packaging. The box is similar to that of the white Hound KO and the black Lambor KO.

    Box back:

The back of the box shows all four of the colours available including the black one with flames which is AL-02B. The whole concept of a black, white, yellow and red Lambor/Sideswipe as many have pointed out is very in keeping with Deepcover, Clampdown, Tigertrack and Sideswipe from G1 respectively.

    Box top:

The top of the box allows you to see the "RS Metals Transform" on the hood and also instead of "Viper", it now says "Victory" on the box top. Yet another move away from the blatant copyright infringements of earlier MT releases.

    Box bottom:

Some nice art of all four available Metals Transform Lambors. I imagine this release is also available in the larger robot-mode packaging too.

    Insert:

The toys are of course encased in the same clear plastic that the Binaltechs are, and A&L are still using the scheme for the earlier Binaltech display stands instead of the new sky background as seen on BT-15 and 16.
The huge "RS" is also visible clearly on the vehicle doors.

    Back of stand:

    Car mode:

The mould looks nice enough in white, and in my opinion the RS breaks it up reasnably well. I'm sure it would have looked smart without them too and could have offered easier kitbashing possibilities. The Viper logo on the front grill has been removed for this release.

    More car mode:

Here you can see that despite using "Victory" instead of "Viper" on the packaging, the toy still retains the "Dodge" and "Viper". It also has the "SIDE SWP" plate.

    Close-up of side:

From this picture you can see that where it normally would have said "VIPER" on the BT, Alt and previous KO releases, there is now a raised white block over that section tot he right of the front wheel. So, most of the original references have been removed.

    Robot mode:

As with the other Vipers in the MT line so far, they are quite difficult to pose in robot mode due to excess plastic on the shoulders and ankles. It was hard to get this toy to stand in a semi-respectable pose, but he does look very nice to me. A bit of filing will help with this of course. The reverse-shoulder issue appears to have been remedied here as well.

    Gun:

A close look at this white Lambor KO's weapon will reveal that here the "VIPER" text has also been replaced with "VICTORY".

The paperwork is very BT-like and as usual has English (slightly Engrish) translations of the text within, the cover has the black Viper KO on it.

KOs such as this one are a nice touch, and an interesting variant on the original mould. The quality issues are a concern but this one isn't too bad and he is displayable, and the chest lines up better than previous KO Vipers so they are getting slightly better. I do wonder why there is a screw in the middle of the steering wheel though...

Anyway, a nice one to leave you with:

Was this from the guy who packs them decently, and how much was the total inc shipping? I'm tempted to get the black and white KOs to turn into Runamuck and Runabout to go alongside my Ratchet.

Yeah, Meng Dong. His ebay ID is zhjun106. Shipping on each piece was $20 plus $3 insurance.

Expensive I know, but I do really like these and I was never going to pass up new colour variants or a KO Smokescreen...(see latest thread)

Maz hooked me up with Meng Dong and I highly recommend him. I bought a yellow Lambor and a white Hound from him. Good stuff!

    Hi,

I mentioned in an earlier post in this thread that eBay seller zhjun106 has them.

Ask for AL-02C for white Lambor or AL-01 for Smokescreen.

    All the best
    Maz
